Lemme explain, sometime after the Universe 6 Tournament Arc Zamasu makes a wish to swap bodies with OUR Goku. In doing so, he split the timeline in two. 1st timeline where he made the wish 2nd timeline where he was erased by Beerus It's why Goku Black is so inherently strong, he's got the body of *a* Present Goku. One which far surpassed everyone except OUR Goku.

Future Timeline DLC is honestly the best Dragonball I've seen in decades. Gohan's last stand, Trunks using Masenko with 17 seeing Gohan flashback, and Trunks' Super Saiyan 2 awakening is peak Dragonball as I remember it.

Does being a half blood mean they don't gain a big genki boost? Because if Future Gohan just ran (like the city was already wiped), he'd come back stronger with the genki boost and do it enough times. He'd eventually be stronger than the androids.

The reasoning I've seen is that Gohan didn't really ever get enough time to fully recover for the boost. I'm pretty sure Trunks gets a big boost after Gohan gives him the last Senzu, but maybe even with any boosts Gohan was getting, it still wasn't enough to overcome the androids.

zenkai boosts do less and less the stronger you get and eventually you stop getting them at all, no matter how many he got it just wasn't enough to compare to whatever trunks had when he came back after visiting the main timeline. he unlocked grade 2 and 3 but i don't think he used them in the fight
