@Aureo any game above 60+ hours game that doesn't exist just for the sake of being a graphics showcase/tech demo, NEEDS to come to the switch. I don't know about other people, But while I can spend the whole day gaming on my bed with the switch or 3ds, I get annoyed at playing any longer than 3 hours at a time on my TV. I've games on steam I really like that I haven't finished because of it, while most of my switch/3ds games do get finished, regardless of quality, that's just how much comfort mean for some of us.

I have no interest in buying a PS4 or PS5, but I'm interested in the game enough to be vocal about wanting a port to PC or Switch. If it was Sony's game I wouldnt ask for a port but its Sega/Atlus, so unless there was an unbreakable contract they signed they dont have a good reason not to port it

Bass Atlus games, especially the modern games, take a long time to develop If I’m correct, Persona 5 was announced for PS3 around the launch of the system, before being delayed like hell until the PS4 came out So the announcement trailer was confirmation that it was being developed, but we probably won’t be getting information anytime soon

Persona 5 Scramble Switch sales in Japan were awful, the Dancing games had some of the lowest sales in Atlus' history, chances are they see porting it as too big a risk. They're a company that have stated before that they are concentrating more on their Japanese market, I'd assume they're more annoyed that their survey for a Japanese audience was hijacked by Western fans, same with people spamming posts of other games they just publish.

If ATLUS and Sony had some sort of deal, I would think that It would cause legal issues with Joker in Smash, Scramble on Switch, and Persona 5 DLC in Catherine: Full Body being on Switch. And also, they wouldn't ask us something that would be impossible. Which basically tells us that there is no exclusivity deal put in place and that ATLUS is just making poor business decisions.

At this point, I honestly don't care about whether or not P5 comes to the Switch. I just want SMTV news. I just worry that some Persona fans will get angry about SMTV being on Switch rather than P5, which I've already seen with Catherine... I don't mean to offend anyone with this, but please realise that Persona is still only a part of the Megami Tensei franchise, and that Atlus does have other games with a fairly large fan base!

Shin Megami Tensei is the 'mainline' games such as SMT 1, SMT 2, Nocturne, Strange Journey, SMT 4, etc. Many PS2 era games in particular (such as Persona 3 and 4, and Digital Devil Saga) were incorrectly labelled as SMT in the WEST (it was never done in Japan). This was simply to make it clear that the games came from the same franchise. As of the more recent games, such as P5, this issue has been fixed. Persona is still a Megaten franchise, but has never been part of Shin Megami Tensei specifically.

Well said...I fell in love with SMT through Nocturne.. so I got my love for persona through SMT.. alot of persona fans dont realize that if it wasnt for SMT. Then there wouldnt be a Persona series..SMT V would Make alot of Fans happy.. alot more than a p5 port. Mostly because it's new content. Another great idea would to port more SMT games that are very hard to come by to Switch.. alot of older SMT and persona games require an arm and a leg to buy.. so itd be nice to see older smt games like Nocturne, Revelations, and the Persona 2 games.

same for Shin Megami Tensei core games going on Nintendo consoles after the PS2. ShinMegaTen 4 was a 3DS title, along with digital devil summoner remakes, and ShinMegaTen 5 being Swiitch exclusive. Quite the change from PS2 having ShinMegaTen Digital Devil Saga 1 & 2, Demon Summoner Saga 1 & 2, SMT3 nocturne, and persona 1, 2, 3, and 4. 3fes and 4 golden going to psp and vita respectively.

Exclusivity can apply to a single branch of a franchise. Persona Q, other spinoffs, and multiple SMT titles have all been on other systems and handhelds, but mainline Persona, all the way from the 1st have always been exclusively Sony. (Ps2,ps3,ps4,psp) The deal is most likely that mainline games stay only on playstation. We may have not heard any news on it given that the franchise has been around since 1996

The issue that bothers me is that this survey was meant only for the Japanese and now it has been inflated for the west, which isnt even supposed to answer this survey in the first place. Atlus is a company that has stated before that their games are made with only Japan in mind and not in the west and clearly they arent interested in a switch port with the sales of the switch version and ps4 version of persona 5 scramble being 30%-70% respectively. Now people are doing things like replying #freepersona5 on every atlus tweet whether or not the tweet is related to persona 5, let alone smt.
