pizza tower and sonic set out to do very different things, so i dont think its what sonic would be like if it was actually good. but i DO think pizza tower has a fundamentally better understanding of speed, and provides proper incentives to higher levels of play

i guess the big difference is that peppino gains and keeps his momentum a lot better and i guess that the level design doesn't sucker punch you at any given chance, and doesn't punish you as hard when it arguably does

that and, outside of the bosses, the solution to everything is "go fast" and when it seems the game is asking you to go slower to solve some kind of puzzle, the answer is actually to go faster, and the puzzle will just solve itself

Actually you don't have to get every toppin, it's just required on most levels to get enough points. One thing that _is_ required that you didn't mention is the hidden treasure. Other than that, this is a great review! It was entertaining and well edited! This is my new favorite game of all time so any review that could get more people to buy it is amazing, and I think your video could be very effective at that :) (Also has anyone told you you have Foekoe vibes? Or that might just be your accent idk)

The treasure is not required I think but if you get all of the treasure something cool happens at the end of the game also the Sound test which is cool

Actually, Gerome's treasure is required. According to the wiki, P-ranks are given out when the player starts the combo in the first room of the level, and then keep the same combo until they complete the entire level. The player must complete all secrets, collect the Tower Secret Treasure for the respective stage, and complete lap 2, while also reaching the score requirement of an S rank.

I love how so many people absolutely hate vigilante as a boss and others think that the bosses are too laid back compared to other levels, but vigilante techincally defeats both arguments. Yknow how you can hold the shoot button and shoot a [BIG SHOT]? Well do that and a few well timed shots and you can completely CANCEL vigil's attacks (he won't even do the cow crate thing) Plus he pretty much forces you to parry in some situations, making him one of the highest skill ceiling bosses of them all. Someone should try doing a run and not letting vigilante attack at all!

ok 2 things about the P rank 1. you don't need to replay the level for the lap 2 to unlock, you can do the tutorial in under 2 minutes to unlock all lap 2 portals 2. You don't need all the toppins for some reason, they just contribute a lot to the score so you normally need them all for the score

Fun fact: you can actually unlock all lap 2 portals by beating the tutorial in less than 2 minutes. (The wiki says 1 minute and 45 seconds but it doesn't seem to be correct because I've beaten the tutorial while being slower than that and still unlocked the portals)
