I highly recommend getting the rom hack version: Pokémon Outlaw. Way funnier NPC’s and much more difficult trainers to fight. The only caveat is, is you can’t trade and once you beat the elite four it’s the end of the game with no ticket to the islands. But definitely more challenging overall.

Catching Mewtwo in those two games was a real pain. You had to beat Elite Four, obtain the National Pokedex, Fix the Network Machine in Sevii Islands, and then you could finally catch Mewtwo in Cerulean Cave. I am also not a big fan of HM mechanics in older games, since in some of them you need to have always 2 pokemon on your party solely to teach them 8 HM moves to progress through certain parts of the map. I think that Pokemon BDSP did manage to fix HM problem by integrating them into the Poketch app, so you don't have to waste any move slots in you party anymore, but honestly I won't be missing those mechanics in anymore in my live. For the first pokemon retro experience I think that Pokemon Yellow (pokemon anime fans will love this game), Pokemon Heartgold / Soulsilver (to experiencing the biggest pokeon game of all time), like Draogane said in his video Fire Red/Leaf Green, and Pokemon Black/White are the best once. Ps. I also ask you guys not to beg Game Freak to do another Kanto remake game, since they will be more then happy to make another one.

Some comments in shoogles exhaustive look at ORAS mention that HM slaves was an unanticipated effect of HMs, but it could be fixed if your pokemon could level up and learn how to cut down trees without taking up a move slot. Also, no animation playing every time you cut or use surf would interrupt exploration less.

I don't miss HM's at all and i've played since original Gen 1 you either waste a slot in your team for HM Slave or sacrifice move slots for some of the weakest and useless moves in the series (stuff like Fly, Surf, Strength are exceptions). The moment they introduced following pokemon they should evolve that idea farther meaning a Pokemon based on it's characteristics could remove Trees for example (like seriously im supposed to believe Strenght beasts like Machamp couldn't just uproot the fucker?) but they didn't and now people are surprised why Palworld was a breath of fresh air to people, because you use the actual creatures for their traits.

Is a paradox wailord a missed opportunity? With the new big airplanes warlord could be interesting alternate as just Flying or Electric and Flying with incredible moves. For a game like Scarlet ad Violet or upcoming games like revisits and remakes could be cool

I'm one of the few players who played Fire Red after growing up with Red/Gold. I absolutely loved the remakes. The inclusion of the Sevii Islands connected to the Orange islands from the anime and were probably my favourite part of FRLG. Even at 8 years old, I really wish they'd have included Mt. Silver as part of the post game. This is also why I kinda hated the Let's go games. Even though I'm aware they really weren't made for players like me.

The only pokemon games where I felt that the legendaries were truly “legends” myths and not some cosmological or meta-logical aspect of the universe to be tamed was and has always been the Johto and Kanto legends, excluding the science project of Mewtwo. In GS, outside of triggering the event flag for the narrative you could ignore the legends either intentionally or unintentionally and life just went on, no super villain teams trying to capitalize on some local deity/force of nature. Crystal was the first to actually push an encounter, in isolation, with Suicune for the purposes of the narrative, but outside of this the other legends could be left alone with no consequence.

Things I wouldn't mind seeing return to Pokémon. HMs but as long as the Pokémon knows the move, it can be used even if its not one of their active 4 moves. And ride Pokémon from lets go. Like I really dont like riding Miraidon and Koraidon, it feela unearned and I hate the idea of having technically 8 Pokémon with me because I also have a Rotom in my phone. But you tell me I can ride my Arcanine, Gogoat, Talonflame, ext. Then it gives me a second reason to add one to my party.

If possible, you can talk about how ORAS featured the overworld Ability effects that were originally introduced since Emerald. That is one of the Emerald elements in the remakes, but they still have missing stuff. The said effects are great and fun that we find the strategy to what leading Pokémon should we use to get the wild Pokémon we want. Too bad they are replaced with drugs in SV that you are not really training Pokémon that we would be like Diasuke from the anime where he ditched Hitokage as a way of "training" it.

Firered and Leafgreen are the second best remakes in the franchise with BDSP being the first. They kept FRLG mostly the same as the originals but included some new content like Sevi Islands. There is no definitive version. Every game is unique in their own way and one should not dismiss or belittle the existence of another. Lets Go is still good games with quality of life improvements that FRLG doesn't have. I enjoyed playing Leafgreen when I had it.

Pokemon stadium 🏟️ was the very first Pokemon video game that I played, but Pokemon pinball was the very first Pokemon video game that I got to own first I didn't got to own a Main line game until I got Pokemon diamond for ds and Pokemon Azul 4 the GBC I got both at the same age I'm 25 and I'm glad 😊 to be connected with Pokemon even before megas were a thang honestly
