Yes, I use ABNB and VRBO for everything !! We used both recently on our 5 week trip to the UK. It's excellent and I feel pretty assured we won't be scammed (but you still have to do your due diligence) I used ABNB in 2019 when we came to Prague for 16 days. Stayed in Dejvice in a nice, quiet neighborhood. It was fantastic !! Of course, we are very respectful as we were guests in the apartment complex. (and city) Just a couple blocks from the trams and a 5 min walk to the metro. I just really like using them a lot. It's unfortunately however the negative impact it has on the locals. I know other countries and cities (like the one I live in) that will limit the number of properties that can do ABNB rentals. That way there are places available for the local renters who need to live there. :)

I think Airbnb has either very good unique finds or sometimes below average finds. However Dejvice is a great Prague neighbourhood. The convenience, calmness, closeness to the castle is also a huge plus. On Airbnb, During the lockdowns, I was surprised to see a significant increase in the number of apartments available on Facebook for short-term rentals. What saddened me was the fact that 1 individual would attempt to rent out more than 10 apartments at once to local residents, which appeared to be motivated by greed. It seemed as though they were leasing these places with the intention of subletting them, whilst locals struggled to find a good priced place.

I agree with you 100% ABnB rentals cause headaches and problems with local residents. With rude and disrespectful renters. Landlords who don't care about their neighbors. Not caring about locals and their needs to find places to live. I think in dense cities (like Prague) there is more impact on locals (and that's not right) Then those in rural areas (like we did in the UK) it seems to be more tolerable. It's tough. Enjoy your channel !

i visited Prague in 2018, in Žižkov! I was hoping to see that the city banned selling trdlniks in the city center :D:D the amount of wasps flying around near Charles Bridge was mindblowing!

I was in Prague last month. The Thai message parlors should definitely be banned. The police don't care about graffiti. It's all over the touristy areas including subway entrances. Right across the street from the Czech National Bank was graffiti covering several buildings. I took a video of it. It's ridiculous. On one side of the street during the day you see luxury cars like a Maserati and Ferrari parked on one side the of street and on the other meaningless graffiti tagging. How is it that in plain sight of the most important government building they are allowing buildings in plain sight get tagged?

Graffiti is not allowed on almost any building for heaven's sake. Where did you get that, you don't understand your mother tongue? This is done by vagabonds, often tourists, who then claim that they were drunk, didn't know what they were doing and accidentally found the paint with a brush in their pocket.

@@tigroussibirak8006 Why doesn't the city clean it up then?? The municipal government can't hire someone to clean it up or paint it over? The subway entrances were all covered in graffiti that looks like it's been there for decades. I took videos of it and posted it on my channel. In my city, they have a graffiti hotline. You call and they come with a pressure washer or paint and clean it up right way. For the capital city at tourist areas that's supposed to represent the rest of the country it's absolutely ridiculous.
