Why PSEB registration is beneficial for freelancers (Tax Discount)

Under 18 Age issue is that they cannot enter into a legal contract in most countries. Since Freelancing requires a contract between Client and Service provider : - Upwork doesn't allow users under 18 - Fiverr also doesn't allow users under 18 This is something we shouldn't waste our efforts on. Under 18 freelancers should work on their skills, until they turn 18. Or they can work for some other freelancers who are of legal age.

Outdated my friend, i got my first payment at the age of 17, that was 11 years ago, nowadays there are far more gigs available. My sister is 15 and she sells graphic art on discord. There are a lot of gigs that freelancers can do, should not be limited to these two platforms. It can help a lot of needy people who don't have powerful background to fund their education in these tough times. I remember the hassle i used to go through to bring my payments here. Just because it is not our problem does not mean it is not a problem.

Absolute nonsense rules and benifits of PSEB. To register with PSEB you need a bank account and to open a bank account you need PSEB registration. A typical chicken and egg problem. Secondly if you are an IT service provider working on your own through your personal links then PSEB does not consider you a freelancer and they insist during registration process that you must have a profile at a freelance portal like fiver/upwork etc.

Hisham Bhai, how about individuals who are employed in Pakistan and also do freelance work to make ends meet? If they have an NTN certificate for their employment in Pakistan, should they use the same NTN number for their PSEB registration? Additionally, can they submit their tax returns as a single entity by declaring both types of income?

Sir Hisham Sarwar, I recently submitted my application (with all the requirements) to register as a freelancer but they refused my application stating that I have a business already registered on my NTN. (That has nothing to do with this) and they cannot register me as a freelancer in PSEB. Looking forward to your comments on this.

Is the organization for which you are working list you as their regular employee or as a freelance contractor?

@@raufaamir Then you are not a freelancer. But if your company is an IT company, then it can get registered from PSEB, and avail the benefits of Reduced Tax on Remittances, and all other PSEB membership benefits.
