Man o man, the amount of self awareness in this video, of not crossing any boundary, of not letting anything go out of context and be laughed upon, is so good. Big power fiction supporter! Cheers!

I've read a couple of non fiction books, but the book that stayed with me the most was 'The White Tiger'.

Oh Man I've become like this. and now I realise in hindsight that all the great stories I still remember and have developed so many emotions in me, are only those FICTIONAL stories which I was forced to read in just english books in the school! Just want to thank Vinamra Bhaiya ❤️

I can tell you my first hand experience. I never read fiction in my life till I was 17 y.o. I thought fiction is for kids and what will I learn from it? Also those hustle promoting youtubers made me believe books means non fiction. They made me believe if I am reading a book, I must make notes, I must learn to make more money from it and that will be the only thing that will Improve my life. But, I day when I was in my local book store (yes they still exist guys) , I saw "Gone with the wind" by Margaret Mitchell. I really liked the cover of it so bought it just to see how fictions are written. Boy o boy, that book gave me a high when I was reading it in late nights with lofi music. They just take you through entire different experience. While the time you are reading, you get into a whole different world! Honestly it was at par watching a very nicely directed movie. Guys, do give any good fiction book a try, I assure they are not waste of time. Cheers

reading fiction is the best thing you can do to yourself. You are absolutely true about feeling the depth of emotions. secondarily, often i have seen the legendary fictional or mythical characters like say Lady Macbeth or Arjuna who we remember often has to implicitly say that they are also a part of our character that's why they has managed to survive. moreover, when we are living through a character in the story, we often unconsciously pick up their subtle characteristics and tend to carry it with us as a part of us which self help may not give us. Like, recently i have read an erotica of khushwant singh, "in company of women" and now i realize that i have become more flirtatious than before lol. anyway, thanks for pointing out that self help is not all that exists.

I Believe the Best Example of True Fictional Brilliance lies in the works of Fyodor Dostoevsky. Crime and Punishment is one such work where Dostoevsky uses His Characters to put across Psychological Ideas and Morality.

I think we should have a system of reading books in a ratio of 2:1 i.e. fiction:nonfiction. The reason behind this is fiction gives you imagination to make you try something different & non fiction provides you with technical wisdom to assist it & remain in reality.

Don't know if you are still reading this but if you are, would you communicate to Prakhar that him introducing me to Haruki Murakami was a blessing. Murakami's Norwegian Wood gave me a clarity of thought and mesmerized me by the wild youth of the late 60s Tokyo.
