I LOVED Red Dead Redemption 1. What did you think of this game?

Im on ps4. You need to get the xbox or pc versions clay. I love it so much that there's too much to type. You said it well with your description. The sound and graphics are so immersing. The consideration to details makes all the difference. Like the dirt falling as hooves clop , leaves, and grass rustling. The leather cracking. The bulits wiz past your ear. Even your hat falling makes accurate sounds. So manny things . So immersive you'll feel like you're in the wild west. As you ride a snake, is hissing spooks your horse. She rares up, rolling you off the back. You land on the snake. It bites you. You got snake venom Causing through your veins. Vision is blurred. Sounds are vibrations amplified. You must get to the Dr, or you're going to die. You're too weak to fast travel no choice but to ride and hope your bond with your horse is strong. She'll get ya the rest of the way. Then you wake up in camp. Die and you respawn randomly. Just 1 of a million posable situations you may find yourself self in. As I said too much to type. The bounty hunts..omg but ya do need a good possy coz mfers will try to mess up your day. True wild West experience

I've been obsessed with it since the ps3. I've played RDR like crazy and the same thing with RDR 2. Together they make arguable the greatest videogame story ever created and I've played A LOT of videogames since the 90's, so that says something. You'll never find another game series as beautiful and immersive that's based on the wild west. I bought the Switch version too and couldn't be happier with it.

RDR was incredible when I played it on PS3. It has remained a favorite ever since, but until it came to Switch, I could never get back into it (despite wanting to replay). I finally finished going through RDR2 last year (which I recommend playing after the first game) and although I have every intent to play through 1 again, I just have not yet sat down to do so...mostly because I got sidetracked by other games.

@@YeetusMingus I meant in any mention or easter egg. The fact that Arthur didn't even exist before RDR2 makes it very clear that it's a retcon. RDR1 doesn't even mention him or anyone else in the gang. It's like the gang was just Bill, John, Javier, Uncle and Dutch. Arthur played too significant of a role for John to just forget about him.

@ClaytonMorris Preferably on a midrange gaming PC if you can. The game is capped to 30fps still on the latest consoles, still a gorgeous game with an even more amazing story than the 1st game but on a reasonable gaming PC aka $600-800 setup it can be enjoyed at 60+ frames per second in all its glory. It'll be worthy of another video review just like this one for certain. :) If you don't have a PC to play games on this is a game worth getting one for. Add your preferred console controller and enjoy.

One of my favorite games of all time and now I can play it on the go. Nuff said. . Most other reviewers complain about the "high" price tag, no online, and lack of remastered graphics. I enjoyed your review more because you didn't mention those things. I would rather pay $50 for an old masterpiece than $70 for games like suicide squad or cyberpunk that were released incomplete/Frankensteined with patches or as shiny new garbage I wouldn't pay $5 for. . . Your review was not only accurate, but entertaining as well. I'd also give red dead a 10 out of 10 and my highest recommendation for anyone who wants the ultimate western experience in the palm of their hands.

Red Dead Redemption is an amazing game. I played it back when it first was released on the Xbox 360. That the port for Switch is so solid is a must buy for me. RDR2 is till now the best of the series but RDR 1 is still a gem.

I am new to this game, and just bought on Nintendo Switch. The game ends immediately if you grease a NPC, animal, or even shoot out a window. How do I disable that? I'm not some sicko, but I thought if you kill anyone other than a bad guy, you just lose "honor". When I play, it's just automatic game over. Can someone please help?

That’s really strange. I haven’t heard about that, but you will lose honor, but other individuals will come after you almost immediately as a bounty and you better hightail your ass out of there or five people are gonna converge on you to kill you.

That won’t ever happen. Ain’t no way they are able to port rdr2 on switch, hogwarts legacy works fine on switch but it isn’t even open world as you have to wait long between each time you enter a area, so rdr2 would probably not work but I would for sure pick it up if it would happen

It must be a short ass version damn. I know ppl are still going through the story. Ya gotta get it on Xbox, my guy. And the red dead story has continued on this game version by the looks. Ya got RDO 1 and 2, and I found there's a "universe" of story lines aswell. Continuations of the story lines. Some fandom some official. Some realy good. Some good Some bad. The comg the landscapes are amazing. The hunting is satisfying. Absolutely amazing game. It is the wild West, You'll come across a villinace players who just want to cause grief for you. And as amazing as ot is there will be updates in coming years. I have informed friends who tell me after GTA 6 is completed and up and n running, the Rockstar team will be getting back to Red Dead. So as long as zelenski or the deepstate doesn't fuk up the free world, we have a few exiting gaming events to come in the next few years.

Great video ! I haven’t played rdr 1 yet but When I bought rdr2 few years ago for ps4 I was surprised how much you can put into a single game, I remember I was playing for weeks and still far from the end 👍 of course I could rushed trough story but treasures, hunting, fishing kept me hooked for a long time. When I get finally to the end of story there was a moment when I had a hard time to hold the tears!!! I would remember that emotion for the rest of the life!! It’s what got me into games hehe.
