This video is brilliant. I really like how authentic you are. As a dyslexic person who has found roam and been amazed by it's game-changing ability, I found this video really useful to see how your structure works for you, and I think it will inform mine too. Thanks for this and keep up the good work

How To Dyslexia I like the simplicity, it was a little stressful figuring out exactly a good way to have basic templates etc. but I finally figured out a system. Some parts of it still confuse me a bit, like the difference between a # and linking to a page. But I think I’m starting to get the hang of it.

Hey, cool video! I recommend you to check out obsidian.md, which is a more recent app that works similar to roam but is totally free. It is newer so it still needs some improvements. It differs because it is a local application that works offline, is based in markdown, and the files are locally stored in plain text. It is not for everyone but I love it and it allows me to save my files both locally and on google cloud.

How you use analogies is so familiar to me. I use analogies to understand everything. If I can’t make an analogy, I have a hard time understanding...
@NishanthaU

Yes! For sure! I try to make analogies in school when I'm teaching, it seems to be one the best ways to connect ideas together when explaining something. I think us Dyslexics seem to have an edge when doing this. Are you using Roam Research?

As someone that did a lot of arty subject at school I would do a lot of my idea taking on paper and I now found it hard to do it on a computer, I feel like it stops my creative flow. Do you have any tips for note taking

have you every tried Sketch noting or Visual note-taking? If you'r a creative and have knack for drawing you should try it, I'm sure you'r already doing it. I made a video on it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJmmh5pjnNODirs

as a person with dyslexia, I have had very very different careers, from pastor, gold researcher, private investigator, sewage truck driver, musician, etc. im 57 years old now sooo still searching LOL. we have many talents, and yes its a challenge to nail down your purpose.

@@NishanthaU A process technologist in gold is someone that essays dirt, measure how much gold is in the dirt. we had samples sent from all over the world and we would advise clients if it was worth setting up a expensive dig or not based on the amount of gold detected in our testing. It was hard work. now I do some prospecting as a hobby when I can-this has failed to make me money at this point but standing in a river sluicing gives me peace which is worth something by itself. last thing I need to tell you is being self employed really seems to fit with Dyslexia for many reasons, I had my own video production company for 25 years and I was the most happy/content doing my own thing. I had a passion for it and clients could tell. I never had to advertise much after I got rolling. Something about doing things in your own way could can be very freeing after school and collage told me I show go dig ditches for a living. I had to prove them wrong, and I did. When I was a pastor, my dyslexia gave me "super powers" to feel peoples needs and hurts. It helped me to never work from a position of power but to be relational with people walking beside them in there struggles. remember , by definition, dyslexia is a person of average to above average intelligence that has a specific neurological deficit. so - smart person with a specific challenge, in my case memory. thank God for computers and spell check. my two cents, thanks-Dave (formerly Videoman!)

If I may give some feedback, the sound effects around 3 minute 20 were just a little bit too loud and distracted from your commentary. First content found of yours, very informative . Now, i'm off to check out more of your video's 👍
