My addiction turned me into a liar and a thief, I was visibly intoxicated around my partner’s friends and their children, making an utter jackass of myself and humiliating my partner. I think Ivan struggles with a lot of the issues most of us struggle with, the problem is, being a celebrity and the frontman for a metal band, he gets more critically judged for it. I went through the same kinda hate when I was the frontman for the band I was in. A lot of deep personal issues I tried to cover up with alcohol and aggression than ultimately lead to breakdowns and controversy. And I don’t blame him if the stuff about the music video is true. If he wrote the lyrics and had a very specific message with those lyrics and a band mate who more than likely knew that, ignored it and twisted the message intentionally, he has every right to be upset about it. Lyrics often have a deeper meaning and a specific story to tell. It’s purely disrespectful to ignore that message.

The lyrics say everything. Jekyll & Hyde, for example. It is funny how a lot of song lyrics are actually telling the truth. Artists of every genre leaves clues for the right eyes. Chester Bennington is a prime example. To say Ivan Moody is a bit moody and be shocked by that after he lays out all of his grievances in the songs... Well it's like being surprised by Chester's passing after all the grievances laid out in LP's songs. One of the most famous lyric from a song "Put me out of my misery" and everyone fawning over how long he held the note and with such passion... Like, is anyone actually paying attention?

THISSS. Like, I know so many people that were so surprised with Chester's passing and said "I never knew what he was going through" I just stared at them, and played "Crawling", "Giving Up" and "Heavy" back to back to them, and said: "Pay attention to the lyrics." they then said "I'm... so dumb..."

We thought it was part of the show until they walked off stage the first time after just a couple songs and we were all like WTF and the crowd started getting angry and booing and chanting for them to come back. They came back out only to start the on-stage bickering again and couldn’t even get through their set. We ended up getting some food to sober up and going down to watch the last of Lenny Kravitz’s show and got the heck out of Dodge. I noticed one clip that was in this video was Ivan smashing Jason's guitar and I figured I'd add some context since it was referred to as a meltdown. The guitar would not stay in tune throughout the tour, so Ivan got frustrated and smashed it, but what isn't shown is that right after he brought out a new much better, really pretty guitar that he bought for Jason and they were giving eachother hugs and having a great time. I'm not sure about everything else, but I think some things here maybe a little out of context. 🤔 Also Ivan and Tommy have performed together several times, even with Bad Wolves featuring Ivan live. Tommy and Ivan worked together to prank the fans after he got out of rehab and they played some of the show together. The clips where it looks like Jason and Ivan are fighting, when Jason throws his hands is just them goofing around. Ivan was creating a playful conflict with Jason before they played Burn MF.

Even after his sobriety I went to a FFDP concert and all the band could do was argue with each other. They walked off stage, come back out, tried it again, then Ivan would walk off once again, and then eventually they finished the show. They all have the talent, there is no arguing there, but their communication with each other seemed nonexistent. I'd really like to see Ivan do some side/solo projects, plus I think it would do him some good to venture out a little. Corey Taylor, Lzzy Hale, Diamante, and many others have done side/solo projects and were very successful at doing so, plus it gave them a chance to step out of the box and do something they enjoy aside from their bands. (Weirdo me prefers Lzzy Hale doing side/solo projects over Halestorm)

I never understood teh hate for the entire band itself. The name in of itself was placed as a joke for people to "hate" them. But the music isn't bad. Ivan of course has issues and all bands have issues. Can you blame the entirety of Nickelback just cause Chad is one of the most hated singers in teh rock scene? Can you blame Asking Alexandria as a band when Danny had his infamous Seattle show? People and fans just try to keep it in the past and move on when the offending parties make peace and acknowledge their mistakes. I agree with fans that the recent music releases have started to dwindle compared to their early work which the consensus is Pre-Wrong Side of Heaven, but I think it's also natural.
