I am a Russia player. Any tips on how to deal with Japan? It's one of the more difficult matchups. Ashigarus kill everything on Russia's roster.

Don't think I've ever seen that matchup, but FF into Opri shrine raiding should give you some edge, but don't take too much time to push the base. Suvorov reforms should be pretty decent in that matchup.
