@Shree Raaman You shouldn't believe everything you see on TV. In the ' 90s, we had a hell of a time. Putin came and everything began to get better. I don't like the government, but I know two things for sure. 1) in any country in the world, the government is terrible. 2) we have no better candidates than Putin. That's basically it. not only Russians ,every European country except UK ,they talk in their languages they do not care if they know English or not ,as I ma living in Poland I experience this every day I have been to most of the European countries and they dont give a damn to English ,i mean in india you are ready to learn English a foreign language but not ready to learn languages of your own country .. having so many languages is not a problem if you can learn English you can learn those languages too

devki mehta English is an Indian language too according to sahitya academy n a commission. Learning Eng is not bad which is a global language. For what we must adopt our 30+ languages and it doesn't make any sense coz they r not used in our life. You are talking about Poland but recently a growing no of ppl there found who study English, it's same in Brazil. China gov already spent multi billion for English learning among it's ppl (tho it failed) so hope u can understand Eng is very important. Indians never face problems in countries like US UK Canada Aus coz they r good at it but I have some friends from China Russia and others who seriously suffer in these countries. did i say we have to learn all 30 languages..what i am saying is the importance english has over our own mother tongues ...the mindset we indians have that if you speak english well you are brilliant ..and there is nothing wrong if you learn something originated from your own land rather than some foreign stuff ...learning english as a language is good thing but learning it just because it is a parameter of intelligence and coolness in our country is wrong .... for example if some one from other state is working in tamilnadu than he/she should learn tamil and someone from tamilnadu working in delhi he/she should learn hindi atleast for communication purpose .....we are ashamed of speaking our own languages and that is truth
