Why I think Kyuranger is PERFECT for an anniversary season 1. It's been over 20 YEARS since we've had a space themed season. This provides opportunities for callbacks to planets in the PR universe (KO-35, Aquatar, etc.) 2. This season brings a new space theme to the franchise. In Space didn't really have much of a theme besides space, and Lost Galaxy was an animal themed season, but didn't really have much of a reason to be. The constellation theme is GENUIS, as this time there's a reason for the suits to be animals. And they could take this idea further and link the powers to Ancient Mythology (I don't if they actually did that because I haven't watched Kyuranger, or any Super Sentai for that matter), which could be a fresh move instead of the usual "I created these powers so you can kill monsters" trope. 3. The suits just straight up look AMAZING! The designs give some depth to the animals the powers are based on. 4. This also gives the opportunity for guest stars. In the season, they could travel to different planets, while also meeting past rangers. They could also travel to different dimensions and meet up with the RPM or Dino Charge rangers. If this idea is done, let's pray they don't screw it up like in Super Megaforce. I think the reason that Hasbro skipped Kyuranger could be because since Hasbro is still new to Power Rangers, they probably don't want to pay that much money on the cast it is 12 rangers after all. I'm not saying that Kyuranger should be skipped, actually from a business standpoint having 12 rangers gives Hasbro a lot of action figures to sell. Also, Kyuranger has an orange ranger. Power Rangers doesn't like orange rangers. Spd orange doesn't count he is a dream only and kat ranger is in the "Other Color" category in the wiki.

*+Seishpai xox* I don't see why the whole alternate dimensions thing couldn't happen especially if a kyuranger adaptation was for an anniversary season of PR, even kyuranger itself touched on that idea a few times in its own series.I always thought kyuranger would be better served as an anniversary season anyway tbh, it's ambitious, epic in scale and a PR adaptation doesn't even have to stray much from the original plot showcased in kyuranger. I'd say just like kyuranger a PR adaptation should take place in its own universe separate from everything PR that came before, though since it'd be the anniversary season members of kyuranger can cross paths with legend rangers later into the story and imo the kyutamas could provide an organic reason as to why they'd cross paths (i.e the PR kyurangers are hunting down the kyutamas which have been scattered throughout the multiverse instead of just their universe).The houoh soldier backstory should play an important part in the lore of the series which is given to viewers in bits as the story goes on and maybe even create a few original rangers to be part of his original team facing off against the big bad of that series before ultimately failing to kill him.

Some thoughts: 1. I think that the Ryusoulger adaptation can differentiate itself from other Dinosaur themed seasons by putting more emphasis on the knight motif. Perhaps all the rangers are the descendants of medieval knights, with the Red Ranger's ancestor being the king. 2. Aside from Ryusoulger being super marketable, I think that Hasbro chose it because the other Sentai seasons presented challenges/drawbacks: -*ToQger:* Perhaps too childish/silly, even for Power Rangers. Might work better as an animated series like you suggested. -*LupinPat:* Too morally ambiguous for children seeing the good guys fighting each other. Also, it might not sit well in the present given police/public relations. -*Zyyougher:* Block like zords might be too simplistic. -*Kyuranger:* Too ambitious and sprawling for Hasbro to tackle at first, could make for a good anniversary season once Hasbro finds their footing with Power Rangers.

Agreed. For ToQGer, its pure simplicity flies in the face of Power Rangers being the "cool kids' show" image it's always had. Plus, for a show all about imagination, ToQ Rainbow is the most unimaginative combination I've ever seen in ANY Mecha media. Also, it's wasteful. It doesn't even look sorta good like Kyutamajin, which otherwise shares the exact same problem, does. I don't think Hasbro wants to touch THAT unless it can work some dark engineering sorcery. LuPat's very existence was an attempt to cash in on the dynamic between Lupin vs Zenigata, but completely failed to understand why that worked. And AFAIK, the stories of Arsene Lupin aren't nearly as ubiquitous as it is in Japan, which has the Lupin III to thank for the popularity of the gentleman thief genre. Zyuohger's suits are a tad bit too simplistic (even ToQger has more detail in their suits), and not only are the Zords too simpliistic, the combinations aren't even that much imaginative. Really, Ryusoulger better replicates the spirit of Minecraft more than Zyuohger does. Like ToQger, it's probably best to put it as a side series for even younger audiences. Neither of them need to be non-canon, but neither side loses anything from not watching the main or side series. For Kyuranger, it's the one that deserves the most to be adapted...but unless Hasbro ditches Nickelodeon and finds a channel that's willing to let PR go back to the pre-Nick model, aka one adaptation per year, rather than drawing it out to two years, Kyuranger is going to suffer hard. Or at least, be willing to draw it out for THREE seasons to give the 12 Rangers enough space, but that's also going to be suicidal consider that the long hiatuses are what have been KILLING the show, not just the poor writing quality of recent years.

How I would adapt each season: ToQger: I'd have it take place in Britain, the first time a Power Rangers show doesn't take place in America. I would have the two sides be two extremes of the morphing grid, one side being the extreme light, and the other being the extreme dark. And how it can affect culture when towns are fully enveloped by both sides. Zyuohger: I'd do a clever switcharoo that is unprecedented in Power Rangers, instead of humans being the good guys facing off against an evil Alien Empire, I would have aliens from a planet filled with anthropomorphic animals with human-like qualities fight off against an evil Human Empire, and have two humans go rogue and become the Red and Auxillary Rangers respectively. Kyuranger: A human named Austin who works at a general store who's unloved by his foster family finds a team of Power Rangers fight against the Void Empire, and he tries to join them and steals the Leo Power Axis but is stopped by their leader Commander Horos and his son Ajax and is told to stay put because they don't want another person injured or destroyed, but, once Austin finds out his foster parents have been kidnapped and nearly destroyed, his determination bonds him with the Leo Axis and he is reluctantly deployed by Commander Horos and morphs into the Red Star Ranger, becoming the new leader of Power Rangers Star Force, causing a season-long rivalry with Ajax, the Orange Ranger because of his old friend Apollo, the previous Red Ranger supposedly dying in combat. Lupinranger vs. Patranger: Grid Battleforce is broken up after their failure on the Planet Quadrobeast against the Beast Prism Rangers and splits into two different factions, one faction that makes up Power Rangers Phantom Thieves believing that what they did on the Planet Quadrobeast was morally wrong from the beginning and protested against the authorities and began fighting for a cause to bring down the corrupt Government, while the other faction said that Grid Battleforce had a good reason to colonize the Planet Quadrobeast and wanted to protect the Government, whether it was corrupt or not, and became the Power Rangers Patrol Force, which was a precursor to SPD which gave the Grid Morphia an edge to steal several artifacts, making them in direct conflict with the Phantom Thieves and the Patrol Force, and one man named Xavier who knew the Government was indeed corrupt but didn't agree with the Phantom Thieves' methods and was able to unite the two factions against a common enemy, and after the series ends, the Phantom Thieves are elected to the City Council and they eradicate the corrupt laws plaguing the City of Coral Harbor.

I was kind of worried you'd say something negative about Kyuranger, but thankfully, you did no such thing. I suppose having the core team be introduced a little more slowly would probably be the best option for the adaptation, although they'd need to rely on episodes that showed some of the first rangers in order for that to work, and since the core team had be assembled, the episodes would alternate between what rangers are part of the main focus of the series. Great to know you agree that Kyuranger should have been adapted next. I get the feeling that in an alternate universe where Ryusoulger never happened, Kyuranger would be the 28th season instead.

I personally think this is an unfair decision since it is much too soon for Ryusoulger. Hasbro owes us a Kyuranger adaptation! What they should have done is adapt Kyuranger in 2021 and then adapt Ryusoulger for 2023! Ryusoulger didn't even exist when fan letters began going to Hasbro HQ! Leaving Kyuranger unadapted would be an unforgiving mistake! Now some people say that Kyuranger could be saved for the 30th anniversary, and at this point, I guess that's the best option! But if Hasbro doesn't adapt Kyuranger, they will begin to lose fans over time and eventually, they'll go bankrupt because only a few people are watching the show all because they refused to adapt the season everybody actually wants adapted. Oh and also, death to the "Kajiki Yellow's visor is too pointy" rumor! That rumor shouldn't have been born and the sooner it dies, the better!

Forgive this 60s reference but LupinRanger vs PatrolRanger was more Batman vs Green Hornet. I went with that idea by having two teams, Young Justice vs their cousins Young Offenders. The kids have different histories. Damian Wayne is the son of Batman's older brother Thomas Wayne Junior, called Talon, and is Lupin Red, while Bruce's youngest son, Terry, by Catwoman, also known as Iron Bat since he wears Batman like armor, is Patrol Red. To the outside world, Damian and his friends are evil. But his family knows different. However, they still have to fight to keep up the facade. Something similar could be done for LupinRanger vs PatrolRanger.

I had an idea similar to Lupinranger. There are two teams of three rangers (Red, Yellow, and Blue vs Green, Pink, and Black), and whichever team defeats the monster is the one that gets paid by the city. So their conflict stems from just wanting to be the team that gets paid. They do work together on occasion, and they find out midway that their two individual Megazords can combine into an even larger one.

The first 3 episodes to me felt pretty unorganized. It felt like they wanted to start selling toys as quickly as possible. The amount of (de)morphs in the first episode is ridiculous, and the masters deaths would've been more impactful if we saw the connection between them and their students. Ui's sacrifice attempt should've been saved for the midseason when she has already bonded with the rangers. It just felt weird seeing her willing to give herself up for people she's only known for hours or days. I also find it ridiculous how, based on what I heard, the events of Saikyo Battle don't really matter as they never reference Gaisoulg's appearance there. In terms of the zords, it seems like they tried to do what Kyoryuger did by building up to their appearances over the episodes. However, it doesn't work as ThreeKnights was already introduced in the first episode. Seeing the others slowly show up afterward felt like a backtrack. I think Zyuranger had a better opening arc as they explained the basic backstory and slowly showed the weapons and zords over the first few episodes. Overall, I think I would've liked this show better if it had an episode 0 like Kiramager. That way it could set things up, and have 1 focus on the action without confusion.

Toquger has trains which aren’t a big market, zyhyoger, is kind of generic when you think about it. Kyuuger they probably want to save it for a grand return for space as the 30th season. Although the next series is indeed underwhelming ( I share the same opinion of ryusoulger as you); I think ryusoulger is hasbro’s delay tactic so hasbro can go all out on kyuranger as the 30th anniversary. They could use the time to pitch a good enough story so it doesn’t seem like a rush just like super megaforce. The 30th anniversary being close is also another reason as to why kyuranger was probably held back. Personally ; I hoped for kyuranger to be the 28th season. But hasbro could have at least did a different season which isn’t as ambitious as kyuranger but not dinos again for the 28th season not to seem repetitive.

I felt Ryusoulger was okay, but it relied on having new power ups that weren't used much to keep attention on the show, and it's the plots with Gaisoulg armor, and later the Druidons origins, didn't feel like they were for or part of the same show, they felt like ideas from two other pitches that were worked into one. So I'll be interested to see what Hasbro does for it's PR adaption, maybe Green or Black could be made a girl with a handwave as to why they don't have a skirt, like it's a comfort/ease of movement thing, but as for Sentai I wish did get picked, maybe LuPat, but there's bound to be problems adapting a Sentai with two Teams that are technically heroes fighting each other. My way to get around that have been to have it so Dograino and Zamigo are brothers who have inherited a half of their father's treasure collection, however, both want the full set for themselves, thus one hires the Earth-based police who will do what they can to retrieve the treasures (Patrangers), and the other hires an alien-police force who rely on stealth and espionage to retrieve the treasures (Lupinrangers). But both teams, with the aid of X who reveals he's the true inheritor to the treasures, manage to figure out they've all been played and said treasures are better in X's hands given he's been using their abilities to help create the equipment both Teams use, which expect for his changes and zords as they were created later/are prototypes, were stolen by the feuding brothers and given to the teams they hired. But that's just my idea, I know there's bound be problems with such an idea, like why it would take so long for them to realise they're being duped, but it's all I can see them doing, given having the Lupins be thieves yet heroes could give kids the wrong message.

If HyperForce was anything to go off of, the adaptation of Ryusoulger could be Arthurian inspired, maybe even bringing in Merlin to tie it all together. There's a lot of potential here to add to the overall history of Power Rangers and worldbuilding beyond how far back Mighty Morphin' has gone to do so (yes, even further back than the 1700s). I don't watch Power Rangers active anymore but I hope the new season works out in the end.

You know, I hope they have merchandise of RPM. Not only does it combine my love for cars, but it proves to be an amazing season with a darker storyline and pronounced character development. I do like that the monsters of the week are usually voiceless machines that carry out Venjix’s dirty work. It makes them feel much more effective and intimidating as dangerous fiends than if they were to have voices.

This actually isn't the first time a company behind Power Rangers made a terrible mistake in what to choose for an adaptation. Saban did that twice with Carranger and Ninninger. The former was a show nobody in their right mind took seriously in Japan, and the latter was so stupid but tried to be serious and failed miserably in both categories. Why they couldn't pick Jetman or even pick Zyuohger is beyond me.

And I was so sure that they would keep such an adaptation for the anniversary 30th season. What - now, all what remains for us - is hoped that the adaptation of the season will take one season and 40-45 series that delays were no more from the Sentai. And we get after this adaptation of Kyuranger and LvP. Those two seasons could help bring PR in high new level. Regarding the last seasons, if it goes on like this (and the adaptation of LvP will be a half-continuation of Kyuranger adaptation). I have an idea how to tie the LvP adaptation to the 30th anniversary of PR. Since in the prototype the artifacts of monsters are based on morphs and weapons from previous Sentai seasons, their looking in adaptation can be determined by the fact that the artifacts were the victory trophies of the main villain from Kyuranger adaptation, when he and his army killed all Ranger teams, and the new villains decided to use these trophies are like batteries for monsters. At the same time, removing objects from Sentai from some monsters, and for some, replace them with exclusive power ups and transports for adaptation.

I pwrsonally think a LuPat adaptation should take some direction from Civil War, the idea that the Lupin Rangers arent thieves but rather vigilante Rangers operating outside the law with the Patorangers being on the side of the law, maybe even connected to SPD since their outfits kinda resemble SPD in a way.

I was thinking kind of the same thing basically having it to where in a potential adaption the Lupin Rangers are essentially vigilante thieves ala the Cat's Eye trio from Cat's Eye, the Phantom Thieves from Persona 5, and the Cooper Gang from the Sly Cooper series basically while officially they're acknowledged as criminals they actually do battle against thieves, criminals, and corrupt law enforcement/politicians who are truly monstrous villains, where as the Patorangers are the somewhat friendly rivals due to the fact they're on the side of the law and aren't a big fan of the Lupin Rangers' antihero methods but will work alongside them to take down a common threat.

Agreed 100%. Cause pretty much the best part about Lupinrangers vs. Patorangers was the whole debate between what is morally right, and what is legally right. Basically have a clash of ideals to where the Lupinrangers believe that while it'd be nice to do actions that are always legally right but because of their moral code along with how the world really works they sometimes have to take and do actions that are technically not legally right, where as the Patorangers believe just because the Lupinrangers are morally right that doesn't give them the right to take and do actions that are technically not legally right.

Yeah especially since two of the most popular adaptions Lost Galaxy, and RPM have used dark topics as key themes of episodes before. Plus the season getting the next adaption Ryusoulger has touched the legally right vs. morally right topic before with it being revealed that the Black Ranger Tama has actually killed humans possessed by Minosaurs during the period of time set before him and the Green Ranger met up with Koh and the other two rangers. So there should be no excuse why a adaption of Lupinranger vs. Patoranger should have the topic of morally right vs. legally right as one the key themes throughout the show.

I'll gladly give this a chance, but if you ask me, I have a few things I'd personally hope to see. One, please let this take place in the alternate dimension where Dino Charge exists. It'd be really cool to have a Rangers team take part outside the main timeline but be a sequel to a preexisting alternate dimension instead of creating a new one. Two, I hope they make "Gaisorg" an actual part of the team this time. I get what they did to Nada to make him an effectively tragic character. However, it didn't make sense to me. But if they have to eventually get rid of the Gaisorg armor yet still bring in the brown Ryusoulger, I'd like to see that used by the character initially stuck as Gaisorg. And three, if at all possible, PLEASE let there be voiced morphing devices! Ever since I encountered Sentai, I found it hard not to consider voiced morphers superior, and Power Rangers woefully lacks that (aside from Mystic Force and Dino Charge). The best-case scenario for me is if they manage to keep the "QUE BOOM!" voice lines, even if that's very unlikely to happen. Above all, however, I just want the second point to come true the most.

What I want is for Hasbro to go more to an adult route with the franchise. Not gritty/violent like that fan film from a few years ago, but more in the lines of RPM or the Post-Zordon Era, with a serialized plot rather than just the monster of the week formula. With PR’s contract with Nickelodeon about to expire after next year, I think it would be a good time for the franchise to go straight to Netflix like the upcoming Transformers series.
