I am also a Kannadiga who follow more of Telugu movies. Good content. KFI had faced many ups and downs since its inception. In 1950s after Dr Rajkumar’s debut, 2-3 years there were no Kannada movies being produced. All actors including Rajkumar, Narasimharaju, Balanna and others had to travel all over Karnataka, perform theatre dramas and raise money. They raised money and produced ‘Ranadheera Kanteerava’. One of the expensive and also technically advanced movie. During early 80’s, specifically in 1981 Ambarish’s ‘Antha’ got released. One of the best action thrillers. And in 1982 Vishnuvardhan’s ‘Sahasasimha’ got released and again another great action thriller. Vijayan was fight master and fights were amazing. These movies came even before Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Khaidi’ released in 1983. Such was the greatness. There were few movies which were shot simultaneously bilingual in Kannada and Telugu with Rajkumar and NTR. ‘bhookailasa’, ‘Satyaharischandra’ and so on. NTR’s Adaviramudu was inspired by Rajkumar’s ‘Gandhada Gudi’ movie. KFI made India’s first full fledged bond movie in 1968. And had 4 different bond movies. And ‘Nagarhavu’ movie ‘Bare Bare’ song has one speciality. Hero’s shots are in normal speed while only Heroine’s shots are in slow motion. And its in entire song.

In this year we have seen a lot of other film industry movies which r having very average story but with good execution. But kannada film industry tried something new in it's time, n hoping for few new experiments too. We r waiting for upcoming movies like.. kanthara 2, Richard Anthony, max, bairathi, bagira, Martin, bheema, UI, KD n few more. Few experiments like billa ranga bhasha, punya koti, kgf chapter 3. Every film industry has its average and best movies but currently kannada films not going well and thats fact too. As a big fan of kiccha, I'm eagerly waiting for his MAX❤..

They got a good start with KGF and Kantara that introduced Yash and Rishab to the Indian audience. Now these stars can introduce more directors to the Indian audience in their next movies. Tobe Frank yes kannada is facing tough situation, eg:- rajamouli became big director if he want he can do movies with Bollywood stars but he restricted to tollywood only but prashanth Neel going to do movies with telugu heros, which is danger bell to your industry many actress technicians can easily migrate to other if got attention, and some of your kannada actors spoiling kgf kantara pan Indian fame with worst movies like kabza etc.., if you give 1 pan Indian hit and give 9 shit movies your industry brand may lose, eg:- tollywood gave very less pan Indian flops like liger tiger nageswararao where as all remaining pan Indian films become hits, so people willing to watch tollywood films so sandlewood should save that fame without doing shit pan Indian films

as a telugu boy living in Bangalore. actually they are intensed to promote their movies but dont know how. each every film lead actors come to our college to promote what is the point in this I don't know more than half of the people where non kannadigas who cannot speak kannada in our college.they don't have good platform to promote the film and most of the people are interested on other industries so we require more kgfs for its growth

very good analysis andi..i lived for few years in Karnataka n i learnt their beautiful language by watching the greatest films of Dr.RajKumar, Ananth Nag, Sudeep etc..I have also realised how they made films on very progressive subjects like women empowerment, caste discrimination, mental health etc even from 1960s..Telugu and Tamil films those days remade or got inspired from several such films..they made many novel based movies which were my favorite like, Triveni maam, director Puttanna Kanagal sir etc..They shud work hard to bring back that kind of glory again..

Main thing is like telugu audience accept mostly all languages movies and Telugu movies are accepted by many languages people in other states in dubbing...Bollywood kante ippudu No.1 film industry TFI, most Telugu PAN Indian movies are accepted in all states... Telugu lo okka PAN Indian movie budget and collections are equal to Kannada 3-5 movies budget or collections...
