a brilliant lecture. perfectly put, decently defined and magnificently humorous during the paradoxical areas. one can always tell when a person has wrestled, researched and checked their assumptions. simply superior in every sense. what does make me laugh, is the thought of all those fanatic determinists attempting to find flaw in swinburnes presentation. how obvious can one be?

Why is a theologian commenting on science? Totally inappropriate.

+Mat Hunt Richard G. Swinburne is a British philosopher. He is an Emeritus Professor of Philosophy at the University of Oxford. Over the last 50 years Swinburne has been an influential proponent of philosophical arguments for the existence of God. His philosophical contributions are primarily in the philosophy of religion and philosophy of science. Also, why don't you take a look at the arguments he's making rather than the person themselves. Nice red herring tho

Christian Anderson Theology was the only course at the time available at Cambridge. He also took courses in maths, physics and natural history AS PART OF HIS DEGREE. So he was trained in science. Swinbourne isn't, big difference.

+Christian Anderson Newton didn't have a degree in science. his lectures were mostly empty. The comparison is not appropriate.
