Neil, try cleaning the earth cluster under the van, the rear marker light earth's are on the nearside box section, near the forward leaf spring mount (i've had the same problem). The earth for the middle and front marker lights are under the drivers seat. Hope that helps. Great video and keep up the good work

Greetings from Scotland! Aye, we've been given bad press without proper evidence. As you said, clean up, take your waste/rubbish with you and park with consideration - it's not rocket science! Some people behave atrociously, they are the ones who get asked to leave, quite rightly! I know this is a problem all over the UK, not just in Scotland and I've seen some horror stories in Wales and England too! My wife and I travelled all over Europe, full timing, between 2007 and 2018 after living in The Highland Region for most of our lives, before returning to Scotland and now living in a !"proper" house, well a bungalow actually, so we understand "motorhoming".
@UrbanVanlifeАй бұрын
We love Scotland have been visiting for years and never had a bad experience, and totally agree people who behave badly and without consideration for others should be asked to leave! It’s not hard to leave a place as you find it or cleaner if possible!
@peterhowells7309Ай бұрын
@@UrbanVanlife It's crazy why some people visit a place because of it's outstanding natural beauty, then leave it like a toilet! Comes down to educating at a young age....... Take Scandinavia - spotless everywhere, well, it used to be.

Emma here, I have made several of my old staff change their ways with littering over the years as they just didn’t understand the impact it has, soon changed their minds after a couple of week on bin duty and floor cleaning in the bars (it’s a total bug bare for me can’t stand it) one of my old staff still tells the story of me making him clean up half of Tesco car park at 5:30 in the morning after he littered in front of me after a 14 hour shift … he hasn’t littered since 😂😂
@peterhowells7309Ай бұрын
@@UrbanVanlife I love that, you rock Emma! I have OCD and I abhor unnecessary mess, so I have little choice but to be tidy. It irritates me, like ants on my skin! My wife is much more laid back, so we kinda even each other out! It's worked for 51 years so far.... 😂😂 Just out of interest, what countries have you been so far? France and Italy are kings of freecamping and cheap "aires". They worked out that if you bypass villages with autoroutes the village dies, so they usually have decent parking areas in or on the outskirts of villages/towns because they know people will generally eat and shop locally, keeping the village alive. They have had tremendous success! (Sorry, I talk way too much!)
@UrbanVanlifeАй бұрын
We have only been to Northern Ireland, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and areas of England so far in the campervan, plenty of other places on holiday prior to that, but we are heading across to sunnier climates soon, we plan to go to as many places as we can while we can, but we have had 3 weddings and a fair few family commitments to go to in the last 4 months all either in England or Scotland , but we did say we wanted to travel around the UK too so we are going to do both Europe and the UK. We are looking forward to seeing many many places!

Love your banter! I travel to north Scotland every year (man and a tent) and find a very good welcome in every place I go. When I talk to site owners and locals in the more remote places the only frustrations I hear about are due to inconsiderate and/or inexperienced drivers blocking roads, parking like (to use your expression) knobheads and dumping their waste. And I cannot blame them for being annoyed. As you say - be considerate, pay for using the facilities and you'll have a great time. Beautiful country; I love it. PS. I keep meaning to stop at the Falkirk Wheel but haven't got around to it yet - and I drive past it every time! I suppose that makes me a k...head! 😄

How lucky were you to catch the dolphins, oh and when’s Neil visiting the dentist😂
@UrbanVanlifeАй бұрын
He’ll go when he gets over his fear from having teeth ripped out of his head at a young age from a school dentist who later got fired for his practises, but until then don’t think it’s a nice thing to ask personal questions that don’t actually have anything to do with the content, not something I would do personally but that’s just me as you never actually know someone’s personal struggles.
