Just a clarification- Switzerland is part of the Schengen group, but I have recently applied for Schengen Visa and Turkey Visa, Schengen visa had a comprehensive application system and they went till the extent of wanting bookings for every single day of stay in Europe along with the rest of the paperwork even after showing adequate funds exceeding the stipulated requirement for stay, the visa I received was only for a mere 60 days. . While Turkey visa was another issue altogether - firstly Indians have been put in a separate category, and while they offer an online tourist visa facility if you have a Schengen visa, I found this unusable as the online application form expects a minimum 180 day Schengen visa. . Had to eventually apply for a sticker visa for which they charged 200USD with no system receipt and zero facilities of correspondence or delivery there after. . And not just this even though I had the Schengen visa as a prerequisite they expected me to file all the paperwork related to my Europe trip including the hotel bookings . . It’s absolutely absurd how Indian citizens are treated by other counties. .
