Hello! No, you cannot practice with only MFDS. It is not a licensing exam. In order to practice in the UK, you need to be registered with the GDC. The pathways to GDC registration include ORE exam, and the LDS exam.

Not sure about RCSI, but I'm aware of RCSEd, and yes, there is a fee to retain the qualification.

Only one is needed. LDS application is long winded and includes hand written/posted application letters. Stick to ORE

In my opinion, the best option is to take both the exams together since the preparation is more or less the same for ORE part I and MFDS part I.

Both hold the equal value. MFD is the membership exam of the Royal College Ireland. MFDS is the exam for Edinburgh, and now England.
