Question: Is it just better to use the paragraph and wrap options to create space? I've been using Enter for quite some time to create space. What I mean is that should I still use paragraph and wrap in personal documents? (I mean is it just better practice?)

It's a better practice, because if you change your mind, and you need less space between paragraph (let's suppose 1 Enter instead of 2 Enters), you need to take all your paragraph to change that. If you use styles you need one click to edit for example a 200 pages document.
