The Museum is my favorite level in this game not just because of the various pieces of art, but also because of the story it tells about the boss before you are about to fight her. Enemies talk about how she gave up a life of violence, and then as you traverse deeper in the level, you find statues that come to life, and then towards the end of the level. You enter a room full of more statues about to fight with each other, showing her fractured state of mind. Where most games would give an exposition dump or a lore drop, Sifu decides to show you how its bosses think.

It’s such a better way to explain a character I feel like. It proves you don’t need to always explain with words, and for those who pay attention enough are able to appreciate it.

@apexvortex5755 It's masterful storytelling and makes sense when you get to her boss fight. In the first phase her moves are graceful but sadistic, and tricky to dodge, and in the second phase she throws kunais and does and practically runs on water to illustrate that her gloves are finally off.

Quick little tid-bit I’d like to point out: Fajar isn’t a drug lord. He’s being exploited by an unnamed drug lord for his powers to manufacture drugs. There’s a line one of the guards you talk to before entering Fajar’s room where he says “Boss says nobody gets through, Fajar stays alone” implying that Fajar is not the owner of the gang or the building. Also, notice how he looks. Disheveled hair, ripped up clothing, walks barefoot, looks like he hasn’t showered in weeks…unlike the other four bosses, he does not dress like the center role-model of his organization. In fact, he looks homeless. it makes sense why he has sought Yang for help, because he’s likely in a very dark time in his life and needs guidance.

I loved this game with how much it told without saying too much like you pointed out in the beginning. I really like the elements that are used with the different bosses that are also the elements used in Chinese martial arts. Wood, fire, water, metal, and earth for each boss in order.

Sifu is so underrated especially when do the secret ending showing u the true ending with sparing the ex student yang at the end like ur father wanted u too. I love the way everything is so mysterious making the game a kong fu thriller. I Hope slowclap is able to get more eyes on it with the upcoming show secret level. Recommend playing the game in mandarin makes it ten times more immersive

Thank you for covering this super slept on game. U don’t speak on the combat here so let me mention that this game has the greatest combat system especially if you’re familiar with sekiro: shadows die twice. Ofc u struggle at first but the beauty in the gameplay is that u can become better after failure. I’ve got 200 hours on this game fyi 😅
