This is a tricky one and requires the thought process of us verses them There are over 3,000 species of mosquitoes yet only around 200 carry malaria, so less than 10percent. Is it fair to destroy a whole ecology for ten percent, arguably yes due to them being one of the largest vectors for human disease. But what would be the consequence of eradicating mosquitoes, stepping away from morality But what if we stepped away from humanity and looked at the ecosystems that are dependent on these creatures for food… while they may adapt our world is already struggling with animal populations dropping… why add another problem to that? Fish, birds and flowers are dependent on mosquitoes. Why not invest in better infrastructure to support people who are struggling, distributing wealth providing research, medicine and hospitals? Here are some unsolicited opinions I have about the people of Singapore: * They are Asian * I don't know much about them * I hope they don't get annexed by China or something * There is a Singaporean lady at my workplace and she's really nice.

Mosquitoes are much like an unintended four year old in a Dave & Buster's--They are nearly impossible to restrict, slow down, or *KILL* ?!

It’s all fun and games until Skull Face gets his hands on the Wolbachia to create a vocal chord parasite… Should’ve listened to Code Talker

I can't see any reference to Wolbachia without immediately thinking of vocal cord parasites.

Wouldn't this be a better time to plug Brilliant's stuff on population genetics instead of computational biology?

4:57 This is really only a 4-minute video. The 1st minute is a bad joke setup and the last minute is an ad.

Ok but getting rid of mosquitoes 🦟 like all of them or really just any species because that will most likely have huge problems on the environment in which that species or any species really of that mosquito lives in and because although this is an option the extinction of ANY species is a bad thing!
@diablo.the.cheater2 жыл бұрын
That is a risk i am kind of okay with taking, if shit happens, shit happens, but at least there will be no mosquitoes, if as a consequence we cause a mass extinction event that is also okay, no price is too expensivee to get rid of mosquitoes
