I think the champagne incident was rude af and I am not making excuses for her behavior. But she obviously makes Pat happy and they have a beautiful family. So, when should we expect better? She is a mother of two and now on the world stage representing the NFL and my hometown, Kansas City. Her racists comments, no matter when they were made, are concerning and noteworthy because they speak to her how she really views people in the world who do not look like her. She appeared to want to define “black” people as “different” to make some kind of point. It puzzles me that Mr. Mahomes married a person who chooses to objectify any human being in such an oblivious manner, considering he is a biracial man who publicly identifies as “black”. As far as I am aware, despite her constant comments about everything else, she has never addressed her comments about “black girls” or “black guys”. So, we are left to take her stating she “supports” BLM as proof she cares about people of color? News flash, there are plenty of racist white women married to black men who have half black children. Racism and bigotry no matter what race, is not necessarily about color, it’s about intelligence, empathy and keeping your head and heart open to see all people as you see yourself. I honestly don’t believe Mrs. Mahomes cares about whether people “hate” her. She constantly plays the victim card effectively and to her advantage. Therefore, I am done with the “hater” tag in regards to people like her. I have been a Chiefs fan for 30+ years.
