Today we are talking about why social media can be dangerous.
Sorry for the delay guys a lot has been happening over the last 2 months. Custard’s bodywork is almost ready to have a brand new colour wrap and we CANNOT wait.
We’ve been a bit quiet on social media lately and have had to take a step back to work on us as a couple. We realised the busy lifestyles and all the behind the scenes stuff meant we weren’t giving each other enough attention, we were arguing constantly and our relationship was slowly slipping away from us. So we decided that counselling would help us sort all of that out - which it did!

How you spoke about how custard and your relationship are similar was put so beautifully. It's so important to speak about problems and mental health.. without doing it, everyone feels alone in their own head, but I don't think I know a single person who doesn't have any mental health issues. When I saw you in Bali (I am vegan babe), I really didn't know whether to approach you or not.. but to be honest, I'd rather meet and hang out with you two than just about any celebrity. Just reading through these comments has put such a smile on my face.. people (including me) get so much from watching you two, you're such gorgeous souls.

Marriage is hard ..... and your comments on Flying the Nest about how much effort you put into your channel and have not had the views you’d hoped for intrigued me. Good channels and good people do not always get the attention they deserve. Glad you did not throw your relationship away as you seem perfect for each other. Not necessarily perfect as no one is, but perfect for one another. Answering Amy .... I followed my dream and became a teacher. Not an easy journey in your 40’s, but I did it! I have CF so with Covid I was forced to retire and absolutely was not ready. I love doing things with our grandkids and travelling but that too is on hold. It has been a rough year of adjusting to being with one another full time. My husband is not one who would ever consider counselling and hiding his sorrow with rye makes things worse..... good for you two for swallowing your pride and getting help together. But lately I have lost a lot of hope in life as everything feels like falling apart right now. I'm having constant anxiety attacks and depression. But yes everyone should look on the brighter side and then you will see the brighter side soon. Thank you guys for a beautiful perspective into counseling and relationships in general. We started KZbin wanting to spread reality and show that #couplegoals doesn't exist. We are all normal human beings. Really appreciated this video. Watched your videos for years and planned my whole year away with my boyfriend at the time. Our relationship ended just weeks before we were supposed to leave and I admit I couldn’t watch your videos for many months because seeing the ‘couple goals’ version of travelling was just too painful. However, when I messaged you guys you replied and I went on my own trip and ended up having the best year of my life. Had a rough last year, last September I had a major seizure, dislocated my shoulder in process 🤦🏼‍♀️ I am self employed doing a physical job, so no work for ages, then my precious Mum died in October so spent lots of time organising her funeral for end of November. Watching your channel has really cheered me up and inspired me , so Thankyou. Found you guys after falling in love with Iceland last August. Since those first Icelandic tour views, I have watched much more. Always very fun, informational and entertaining. But in an era of glossy, photo corrected, phony social media posting, your most appealing contribution may be your genuine nature. Your ability to face your demons right in front of us (your friends), in the hopes that we can relate. Believe me, we can totally relate. Thanks for always being real with us. I actually experienced a travel burn out this year and scaled back on the frequency in my traveling. I felt that I was starting to dread travel days due to over traveling. Also, I had the chance to speak with my uni’s guidance counselor last week. I'm experiencing something similar with my partner living in Seoul. The both of us have worked so incredibly hard to be able to live here and do this in our 30's, and we only focussed on all the things we expected to get our of this (an adventure, a life change, a new culture, new friends etc) so, we had such huge expectations, and we just completely overlooked the potential challenges.. and there have been many. First of all I totally relate to the challenge of only having each other, I found it can be (and has been) and incredibly lonely experience at times.. I think (in our situation) we're dependent solely on each other for 90% of our support, friendship, love, entertainment, overall social interaction etc. which is a HUGE burden on each other.. I find we just expect so much from each other it rarely seems fair. Then there is the other "small" but significant issues.. the small living quarters, the financial hurdles, the foreign environment, even food makes us argue!... all the stresses with work and visas and other complications. So, I can't tell you how much watching this video has been a true comfort and makes me feel so much less alone, and reminded me too that my relationship means everything to me, and perhaps we just need some help or time out? But mostly it has made me completely convinced that you guys ARE couple goals ;) xx I wrote this all in about 3 mins so I hope it makes sense hahahaha and isn't cringe
