I'm sorry it didn't work out for this kind couple, but I can't say that I'm entirely surprised. They seemed to be "that hot couple who's also likeable", just not like the couple whose divorce I "never would have seen coming" (like some users have written in reaction to the news). They were two glamorous, hard-working individuals, who seemed to have such butterflies at this point in their lives that they got engaged within a year, without even living together (which I personally don't consider to be that long, especially when you're working and travelling a lot). Obviously, none of us know these people in person; it's just an impression (and neither do the media that are pretending to share the true reasons behind their split, etc.). We can only wish both of them all the best for their new, separated lives.

Sad, but unfortunately life and expectations can get in the way of love at times. You grow apart and you can't find that spark again that brought you together in the first place. Marriage is a fast, curvey, deep lows, extreme highs, out of control rollercoaster that occasionally breaks down and needs to repaired. If you're unwilling to repair it, it will eventually break down and become useless.

I'm not surprised. I remember reading somewhere a long time ago he wanted kids and she had her one and done. That in itself would cause issues. Especially since he is getting older. Idk I always thought they were oddly matched and some can be the perfect match for each other in that situation and then there's some when the differences are so large it's too hard to overcome. I kinda viewed them as the latter. I hope they both find happiness whatever it may be.

Completely different lifestyles. I cringed every time she mentioned her husband’s die hard obsession with the Steelers. She would even stay away if she read the Steelers we’re losing. She said as a joke, but I can imagine other circumstances like that. I am of Cuban and Ecuadorian background. I could live with a man that is so different. Married a German that speaks Spanish. Dances Salsa and loves all things Latin. I hope then the best. Especially, Sofia. She brought all her family to the US after her brother was murdered in Colombia. She supported all her family economically.

Many of you got it totally wrong about Sofia. Her roots and culture allow her love gatherings and music . She is not alcoholic. We Colombians can party and dance for 24 hours without indulging into the drinking. I can. Well, as more of this gossip is spilled, that one that comes out over and over again is kids. Now, he is 46 years old, and she is 51 years old, well past a geriatric pregnancy. And for him starting being a dad at 47, that would mean this hypothetical child would be 65 before he or she left home or went to college. Less than ideal.. but when he met her, she was breaking up with her ex, who wanted custody of their fertilized embryos to implant in someone else and wanted them destroyed. She has a 31 year old son. For her, that is her life choice before getting together with and marrying Joe. How on earth did he surmise this would not apply to him at all given the response was across the board ?
