Software engineering sucks because its becoming more complex to do what we use to do but with 10 more layers on top of it. We use entire frameworks to write simple javascript these days. Its like we went from jquery which did make things easier to component frameworks which have added so much complexity to simple things like swapping text on a button when you click the button. Now you have to write boilerplate code to do what you use to be able to do in 3 lines.

there are no code tools too though so i think it’s a bit easier to do things. Maybe setup takes some time ?

jquery was horrible to maintain though. frameworks make it very easy to hop from one company to another without having to learn code architecture again. also jquery is crazy heavy and poorly performant cause it used adapter pattern mad heavy. it's literally `document.querySelector` with some pretty syntax slapped on it

Going into a CS deg this fall, but gotta pick a steam (I can change anytime) which one would u pick?: AI & ML, SWE, CYBERSECURITY, GAME DEV, ALGORITHMS, OR MANAGEMENT & BUSINESS SYSTEMS.

I would say AI & ML as that is where we are heading as a society. And soon more AI based careers will come up.

"You're going up again Steve jobs", "Law of Large Numbers" - Only in the first 4 mins of this video you see overexaggerated analysis and attention catching phrases that make no sense. My take is that the industry is correcting itself back to 2018 levels. 2020-2022 was a golden boom in the industry and lets accept that this will not come back anytime soon. You have to standout in DSA to get hired just like we had to in 2018.

i'm impressed about the fact, you put yourself in danger where are u working atm to spell only true about this situation also it's not only about software enginers it's about all type of jobs that require compture skills,the odacity of the firms in our days,it's to make employments slaves on plantion and only think if they want to have money and support their familly must to swallow and resist there,i'm ashamed that i must to work for free sometimes and i'm put it on my place because i try to grow and i'm sure there are many otheres who have same perspective about how it's the life atm, i wish you all goodluck and do your best!

another video iterating on what is “supposedly” going on. did you really advise these kids to work on projects instead of networking and putting themselves out there? You provided no real data and just repeated what everyone on the surface is seeing and news headlines. just because it does not suck for me does not mean it does not suck for a lot of people. It's about the space as a whole. It would be selfish of me to say it's great when ppl in tech are getting laid off, unemployed, and have no income stream from their CS degree.
