Men's birth control pill, has stopped many studies, due to concerns and complaints about side effects. Meanwhile, women's birth control is still ongoing, even after the fact, knowing the harmful side effects caused by taking synthetic hormones. Let that sink in.

Good for men for knowing better. Shame on women for doing it anyway and also encouraging other women and little girls to do the same. You act like women are being forced to take birth control and undergo the side effects, but they do it fully willingly. It's also their own fault if they don't look into any medications they take to see what the side effects are. I have absolutely zero sympathy for women in this case. You get what you ask for.

Yeah, no one! I repeat, no one in the history of medical history have ever, throughout generations, thought about researching side effects for female contraceptives. You're being horribly oppressed by mad scientists who are conspiring, with everyone else in big pharma and the broader medical field, to stop anyone from researching side-effects for women. There's no evidence for this, but that's only evidence that you've been oppressed. There's probably been a secret cabal of powerful and patriarchal MEN that impose and push on you a daily drug that's also unsafe. Oh my god!!! ThE hOrRoR! 🤣

The fact men don't have birth control while women do demonstrates women have reproductive rights that men simply don't have. @jtw99235there’s an agenda that’s in the works to ban it but it’s for nefarious purpose. It’s to put us back to stay at home wives. Pregnancy in and of itself is a hormonal change that causes large number of the same side effects some pills do to us ( if our body had that issue) it then adds the risk of birth to it.

What we should be discussing is why the side effects are the exact same for women as the birth control that came out a few years ago for men, but was quickly pulled from the market even though the side effects were the exact same and we still have all the womens bc on the market still... oh, that's right, because it's ok for women to get sick and die from it, but not men. And let's not forget that medical research for women didn't start until 1993. We need better healthcare and research for women. Period. The archaic process for IUD insertion needs to be banned. If you cannot give women a sedative or pain killer for that procedure, you're breaking the "do no harm" oath you took when you became a medical professional.

Yup it's seems the market takes a med or vax out then puts it back in the market as if it never happened it's sick , for example years ago recall on birth control , then put back out , vax Johnson and Johnson was took off bc it was literally killing people then it goes back on the market , lies deception behind the curtain and mask this world is evil, healthcare already is down hill , I called my doc the other day spoke with a nurse had question and curious about birth control and such I have heavy periods and I'm premenopausal I also had the COVID vax awhile back really messed with my periods and hormones anyways , nurse calls back and tells me you would have to make an appointment to discuss further of it to me it's not worth an appointment of that , I don't know whatever happened to doctor take the time to know their patients especially their medical why on earth would you have to make an appointment for to talk about birth control when it's simpler to have a phone conversation about it , I know there is a new one on the market now I'm still researching it and learning more , but man I guess the docs are all mandatory to try to get talk to you like sales person or bully you about another COVID vax , I'm done with that too , smh it's the new normal unfortunately, it was like I got to make a consultation with my doc at her office over and about birth control to discuss further smh and then nurse says would you like to make an appointment no I'm not doing that today , it's not a final decision or birth control just curious about it , I'm just glad the nurse called back and try to have my questions answered, hormonal changes and heavy periods.

This is what happens when feminists forget to critically think. Many of these studies were authored by women, men having side effects makes no difference in the messaging. It sucks, it should be fixed, money should be invested in better options. The reason why this stuff is still in the market is because it sells, not because men have some secret society to cause women's suffering.

That tells me your hormone pill was probably not for you or the hormones it gave were out of whack with your body - the first thing they advise on the paper of pills is if you have extreme migraines, you should report it because they can give you a dose of estrogen as a vaccine to mitigate it. It is sadly an ultra common side-effect, I have them too and it is being mitigated.

I'm soooooo glad I've NEVER taken birth control pills. Mimicking the hormonal profile of a pregnant woman for years and even decades is beyond bizarre and unhealthy. Doctors should stop being so lazy when it comes to addressing hormonal imbalances. Instead of trying to promote sustainable ways to balance hormones, they think nothing of throwing contraception pill prescriptions at women. Has anyone seriously considered why miscarriages and fertility issues have become so commonplace? I guess if they cared enough to research that, we could get the data we desperately need to make a few informed decisions about whether or not the pill is safe and/or healthy.

@jtw99235that’s because your start point wasn’t in a normal hormonal level to begin with. And unfortunately birth control is not 100% on everyone as anything is. Contraceptives are important; but remember it’s mimicking pregnancy levels too. The pain was from cysts (which are a risk from the paraguard). I got Microcurrent Stimulation done and that cured my pain finally and I am about 6 months pain free now and living my life again. Dermatologist is what you need with acne, it also can be diet related such as dairy, some people are allergic to it. Pills for acne should be temporary with the caveat that if in six months of treatment you aren’t out of it for a few years that you have more than just hormones going on

I use the pill off and on, for contraception. But…… here’s the catch: cysts are usually bacteria driven. And while your hormones may impact your regulation of sebum I’ve had a massive mrsa on my face and it was impetigo and staph. Soooo I think sometimes we confuse acne with staph or strep. Check it out. Believe me my face has been clean of acne for thee years. I did however have to take six antibiotics at once with every probiotic known to man to counter it. Lol

I was the same way, terrible cystic acne when I wasn’t on the pill. I got off it once in college and one of my friends at the time told me she would t even go in public if she had cysts like mine all over her face. I finally got a dermatologist to prescribe accutane. It was SO WORST IT! Never had a problem again. I just wish they would have let me take that sooner. Good luck.

I'm not sure if this is helpful but I had painful periods too and was on BC But after I got off the pills, and changed to reusable pads and diva cups the cramps were pretty much tolerable and not as unpleasant. Its just like mild? Not awful like before. I read a study on how the pads and tampons bought I the store is plastics softened with chemicals and get absorbed into delicate skin from childbirth because of diapers being made of the same thing. 10/10 will never go back to disposables. Then for irregular stuff I watched what I ate and worked out and found out different times of the mo the require different movements and eating habits. It's been super helpful at being mindful of my body's cues.

@jtw99235pregnancy does the same or worse. Guess what you get pregnant and you can develop hair loss. I’ve met coworkers that lost hair during pregnancy and right after. Conversely I have seen women with radiant skin during and after too. The very hormones of your pregnancy cause side effects which the pill mimics due to it mimicking the hormones that make the body think it’s pregnant. Sooo.., if you have the chance of getting depression in pregnant or after it may run with this too.

Fertility awareness has been very effective for me even with irregular cycles. The key is to actually learn from an instructor to chart properly. They can teach via Skype! Methods like Marquette, Sympto-Thermal, Billings, and Creighton have instructors that can teach you to chart even with irregular cycles. Don’t read some articles on the internet and try to figure it out on your own. I love not being subjected to all the crazy side effects of birth control. It just isn’t worth the risk!

They have a lot of different options now compared to what they used to. They are safer & side effects/symptoms are more known & milder as medicine in this area has improved. I know a number of +35 women that have IUD's and swear by them. A few have them for required medical reasons & the others for a mix of contraceptive & management reasons. Personally the IUD was a godsend since its been the most effective treatment for the medical issues I have. Everyone is different though, definitely talk to your obgyn/doctor & they should be better able to help you figure out if it's something that might be worth giving a try.

It’s crazy how doctors recommend birth control as soon as you start your period. While I understand that women may want to start birth control to resolve acne issues and irregular cycles, but more often than not these are just commons issues of going through puberty. And unfortunately PCOS is then induced by the same pills you thought would help against it. I’m honesty happy I didn’t grow up in America as a young woman. My acne was beastly and my cycle was irregular until age 17. I knew they would have had me on the pill.
