I bought speed queeds about 4 years ago and they are amazing. our old doggy roxy was old and started really needing help, so we were constantly washing her bedding one after the other for about 2 years and we would toss her bed and bedding in the machine and run it once a day and those machines never hickuped ,, our Girl passed a year ago and they are still kicking but. I just over loaded my washer and handled it with no complaint. this is why I started looking at why these machines are so good. I paid about $2300 for my pair! and think they will out last anything I would of bought from any other brand. knock on wood. lol 😁😁

Whether it's a TC5, TR5, or a TR7. As long it gets my clothes clean. That's the most important thing. Durability and reliability are very important in choosing a great washer that will do what it's supposed to do and I'm reading that Speed Queen washers are the most reliable out there (I hope so). My mom had a White Westinghouse washer that I loved for 20 years but it's been replaced for an LG direct drive washer (I hated that washer). I hope they get a Speed Queen and I think she'll love it (she's pretty old fashioned so I think she'll like the TC5. It'll remind her of her White Westinghouse washer but in a modern way). But what I really want to know is why are some people so harsh about the TR series? Not many people like myself can afford a Speed Queen washer and would love to buy one (I know I do). I love the TC5 but what is it about the TR series washers that gets people in an uproar? Is it the mechanics of how it's built? Is it because it doesn't have a transmission like the TC5? Is it because it has a lock switch? Or could it be that it washes different than the TC5? Okay so the TR series washers doesn't index like the TC5 but still in all they're good machines. I don't know what the big deal is from some people who dislike them.

i was nervous buying my TR7 due to some of the comments you find during extensive research before a big purchase. But every washer I researched over the last few months have bad reviews. If you looking for a washer with zero Hate on the internet you will never buy a new washer. I would suggest weeding through all the so called "experts" who regurgitate BS and dont actually own one. If you find reviews from people who actually own this machine they are very favorable. I had to laugh at your LG comment. We just gave away our LG front loaders to buy the TR7 and its was night and day. The LG was terrible. Hammer knock, laundry was never fresh, terrible front loader stink and slime build up in the door frame. All known issues with front loaders. Could not be happier with my TR7. it cleans great and cloths smell fresh again. Front loaders = Never again!

@@IvyLeagueRedneck If I owned a TR series Speed Queen washer or a TC5 washer I'm pretty sure I would not have a problem with them. I noticed that a lot of people are so picky about their washers. My thing is this: If you take care of your washer (whether vintage or modern) it will last for years. I got into liking Speed Queen washers when I used them at laundromats. A washing machine is just a washing machine. I'm not an expert or a wiz at washing machines like a lot of people on this KZbin channel are. I'm glad you find my LG comment funny. My mother's LG washer looked like a paper shredder. She had the one with the panel in the front. I really miss her White Westinghouse washer. I wouldn't have no problem with the TC5 or the TR series washers. They look like great machines and they are look durable. I'm glad that you like your TR7. Keep your TR7 and take care of it as much as you can and it will last for many more years.

Yeah they pretty much have been since the 50’s. With the exception being the original Maytag and a veiled attempt by whirlpool decades ago!

You should have gotten the TC5 instead of that TR series garbage.

Why do you prefer the TC5? I know there are a lot of DIE HARD fans of the TC5 so I'd love to hear your thoughts. I personally love the TR series' full tub rinse option since I have allergies and need everything rinsed really thoroughly (I think people see the "autofill" option and assume that means this model can't fill all the way like the others, but it can!). The huge digital display that I can read across the room is great for knowing how much time is left, and the ability to "lock" the controls is AWESOME so my oldest kiddo doesn't mess up the settings since he's just now learning to do laundry. I also like the quieter motor vs the traditional agitator since this is in my studio where I work - you can barely hear this thing!

Someday I'll Learn totally agree with you I have the TR7 works beautifully and no issues at all. I’ve had for 11 months now. You made the right choice. 👍🏻

Ronald McFondle this is because you’re an expert and you own one. Only people who own them can give an opinion about the machine not someone who is just viewing it and listening to the ramblings of people who have no idea what they’re talking about.
@sinatrasdame19154 жыл бұрын
The TC5 has a transmission...not a motor like the other newer models (the long time speed queen owners prefer the transmission instead of the motor). It’s called the classic because they made it like the older models that speed queen owners love so much.

I wish people that don’t know too much stop calling the TR series garbage and they really have no idea what they’re talking about. I have the TR7 the 2019 model and it’s an excellent machine far from any of the garbage that whirlpool/Maytag brands put out. If you don’t own it you can’t make a comment. If you say that your clothes come out filthy it must be that you put in ridiculously filthy clothes that need to go in the garbage pail and not into a washing machine. Enough said!

DO NOT BUY TOP LOAD... they are a joke...they don't wash and we called the factory and to use it on Heavy duty mode and we did but the clothes still came out dirty so we returned it back to the store for a 20% restocking fee and we ended up buying Electrolux and we are very happy .... don't waste your money on speed Queen Top load
@LarryMarston5 жыл бұрын
You have that garbage TR series. A TC5 would beat the crap out of it.

That did it for me...it cost me$250 to return it so no more speed Queen
@petermaz7015 жыл бұрын
God you people must really have filthy clothes because I own the TR 7 and I have absolutely no issues with it the clothes come out clean rinsed well what more do you want. Try not over stuffing the machine and use decent detergent not that crap from the $.10 store.

@Ronald McFondle My front loader set is a Samsung, has never broken in almost 10 years, but takes 1.5 hours to run an extended wash and extended rinse load. My gas dryer did lose a gas solenoid, a $7 fix with parts from Amazon. Areas with water availability problems might benefit from the front load, but I am going back to top load when forced to replace these, and most likely a non-electronic controlled Speed Queen.
@sinatrasdame19154 жыл бұрын
Lawrence McLane agreed. The TC5 is a beast. I’m glad they went back to using the transmission

These new SQ models are junk. They may be built well but they don’t clean well. Junk! Buy the classic model with a real agitator if you want Speed Queen. Look at the washing Reviews here on Y/T by Consumer Reports.
