Back in the 80's when america was going through odd Even license plates at gas stations during our gas shortage days F1 regulations dropped V8 and 12 cylinder motors. New regulations went to dual Turbo V6 for gas economy reasons. They were 1500 cubic inch display blocks with injection and turbos. They produce 1500 horsepower to the wheel with better gas economy range.
