I was torn on if I would want to get into Starfinder, and after seeing this box set is less costly than the PHB with all of the stuff it includes is amazing. I will definitely be getting this in the future. I will probably be the DM but either way this looks like a ton of fun.

Look into the Pocket edition for the books! Also PDFs are also more budget and shelf space friendly!

The "every other square is an extra 5 foot of movement" comes from the fact that, when you do the Pythag's Calculation for a diagonal, you actually get "(sqrt 2) x 5 foot" (the "sqrt 2" is just rounded to 1.5) So, if you think about moving twice on the diagonal, you're moving (3 x 5 foot) or 15 ft. Since it's easier to think of movement it 5 ft steps, we can move 5 ft the first time, and then 10 ft the second time, to get to our 15 ft total.

Yeah it was a thing they did in 3.x which I wished they carried over to 5e So I'm glad to see Paizo still implementing it

One thing I like more about starfinder than other tabletop rpgs is that there is a whole book for equipment so I always have something new for my players to use that they never have used .

Technomanncer have lots of uses for resolve points to use class features... though those might be added in other books. not sure.

How Setting reliant is Starfinder? If I wanted to run a Marvel inspired Guardians of the Galaxy, or a DC inspired Green Lantern Corp game instead, could I use Starfinder with little effort? Or is the setting so intrinsic to the System that I'd be better off looking for a Generic RPG?

Thanks for following and watching! The box is awesome and I would not say there is a direct sequel to this but other story lines you can continue by getting the core rule rule book or any of their adventure paths. Some build on each other some do not. You can find all that info on Paizo's website.

It doesn't, from what I've read And it doesn't have the stamina pool either, just a larger health bar incorporating hp and stamina together
