I'm leaving in Dresden for almost 5 years and I can tell you guys, that Dresden is the most liveable city in Germany in my opinion, especially for student.

I was there for a weekend while it was still part of East Germany. I visited that church for example. It was an overgrown field with a few large blocks visible and a chain link fence around it. It is amazing how much they have managed to rebuild in thirty some years

The whole point is to attract international candidates. Showing that Dresden is open to other languages and cultures is part of that.
