Hi, Im also interested in applying to IBEB, not sure if u got accepted, but if u did has is it been a good choice so far? Im not sure if applying to IBEB or IBA because I heard eur is more prestigious on IBA, but again I dont really know if this really matters on the long run when seeking for a job or on ur carrer opportinities. However it is I would really appreciate that u or someone whos got ther gave me his/her opinion.

Talking about career/jobs... does it make a difference where do you study (university)? Or when you do an application they look more about your previous experiences (previous jobs, things outside the university)? What does people on the market think about this kind of things? I wrote in english because I don't want to be the only one writing in portuguese 😁 tamo junto!
@milenamitiko3 жыл бұрын
eaii pedro tudo bem? I think it's safe to say that a lot of companies look at where you studied because it gives a good indication of your work ethic and your level of understanding in a given field. Some companies also do "like" the prestige of certain universities, but of course, not all of them. From what I know, your previous experience is for sure a large factor for employers because it shows them how much knowledge you have in a given area and your practical skills. At the end of the day it really depends which sector you are going into. Hope that answers your question!

I visited the campus on the open day last year (a miracle that that was possible), and I personally found it a little depressing. Grey, really high buildings and not much green or cosiness. I did visit on a very rainy saturday, so the weather and the lack of students might have influenced that. Do you think the campus is normally cosier? It's actually on of the only things that withholds me frm studying in rotterdam
@tomasgoorhuis6323 жыл бұрын
There are a few buildings on campus that are definitely a bit depressing, but erasmus is adding a few new buildings that look nicer. On sunny days the campus does also look a lot better as people gather on the grassy areas and around the lakes.
@milenamitiko3 жыл бұрын
on a very rainy or foggy day the campus really doesn't give a very cozy vibe honestly but when there is good weather (in my opinion) its quite lovely! Keep in mind that the whole "not great weather all the time" thing is really a country wide situation so if you have the chance to visit during better weather you might feel differently Good luck with you choice!!

thanks for providing great video about Erasmus University. Then I really wonder about career and Erasmus University. Is graduating from Erasmus University the benefit in getting a job at a big tech company ( google, amazon, apple, tesla etc) in the United States? And can it be useful to get a job at global big economic company just graduating from Erasmus University economic major?

i am stressing over IBA at erasmus. i have no idea how competitive it is, and i don’t even know if i’m good enough. they want 4 ap classes with a 4, and although i have taken 8, i do not meet that requirement. secondly, my gpa is a 3.27/4 for junior year, but if they looked at everything it would be a 3.71/4. i am fluent in dutch and english and have lived in the states for 10 years, but i feel like their standards are through the roof. my extracurriculars, interests, and writing are my strong points, but i worry about 75% of the application being about grades. i just submitted and would instantly go if i got in, but i’m nervous that every applicant is like Ivy League material 😖
@antoinehamaide3932 жыл бұрын
hey mate I also applied for IBA but I'm from france so the grade requirements are kinda different...personally to 'reassure' myself I looked into the previous years and how admissions works. So last year there were 2 644 applicants and 562 admissions, here's what I've seen from more detailed 'facts and figures' on the previous years (eg 2020-2021). With 2 200 applicants, around 1000 don't meet minimum requirements (math, english), so aren't in the first tier. For those who are in the first tier, you usually have a good chance of getting in, with the last person to receive a rank number to be approximately n°1000. From what I've read, it is possible for RSM give out a rank number for those who don't meet the gpa requirements. Hopefully this was a bit helpful :)
@Abc-qm5to2 жыл бұрын
@@antoinehamaide393 ah thank you so much man. yeah i have the gpa requirement they want, i’m just worried about AP tests. again, i have 8 classes taken, but not a sufficient score. but we will see haha

Would you say the IBEB course is intense or relaxed?
@rudrajayant21783 жыл бұрын
I have the same question
@milenamitiko3 жыл бұрын
I don't think classifying the IBEB course as intense or relaxed will give you a good idea of how the course is, since the intensity depends on which subjects you are following each block and which year you are in. So if you want to chat about this, you can find my profile on the official erasmus website through this link: www.eur.nl/en/ese/chat-our-students If you select there filters, you should see my profile: Country: Brazil Level: Undergraduate
