I have viewed most of Max's videos, and he really knows what he's talking about (Max, you're great!). Proof of this: I have been accepted at 4 German universities. They are: University of Greifswald, University of Konstanz, University of Magdeburg, University of Passau. There is indeed no tuition, and the per-semester fees range between 106-155 Euros per semester. The outlier among those is the University of Konstanz, because the (very rich) state of Baden-Württemberg charges non-EU citizens a 1500 Euro per semester fee. And just for your information, I am a 69 year-old US citizen retiree, and despite that, I received these 4 acceptances (and 7 rejections). I am also fluent in German, having lived/worked in 4 German cities, 1987-1999, and am certified C1-level fluent. The pricing of US universities has become insane, and the quality of the education US universities provide has declined. It's all about branding, especially the Ivy League, MIT, Stanford, Duke, etc.

Hello Max, First of all i hope everything is going fine by you. So, i tried to talk this situation with so many study abroad companies (idk how they are called) but non of them has given me a clear answer yet. And since i’ve been watching your videos and also them helping me a lot about understanding the university things in germany i decided that i should also take your opinion about this problem too. So basically this summer i graduated from highschool and took my university enterance exam in Turkey. But unfortunately my score came less than i expected it to be. It is equal to a 2.6 as NC score. But other than that my GPA is %94 and at the moment i am doing a Bundesfreiwilligendienst (BFD) in germany. At the starting of august i took the B1 TELC exam (which i think i passed) and will be taking my B2 and C1 too in the meantime. Also i have a band 7 in IELTS too. (And some other extracurriculars too) So here is the question: i really want to study “Informatik” in germany and was aiming for “KIT” before the results were announced. Do you think i will still be having the chance of getting into the university? And if i can’t which universities should i consider with these stats (prefferably technical and TU9 ones). (plus could my extracurriculars and BFD give me a boost in my university applications?) I would really appreciate any response if you can see this comment, thanks so much in advance

Hi Max, I have 3 questions about the C24 bank that you mentioned in a previous video... First: The website has modified the "Zinsen für das Girokonto" to become 2.25% in compare to revolut 2.29%. Do you still recommend it to students like me? Second: About Revolut Bank: It is written on their website that they allow payment worldwide in the local currency of the country, such as the Japanese Yen, for example. Does this also apply to C24 Bank? Third: Does C24 Bank require anmeldung? If not, is this a negative point for C24 and a positive point for Revolut because their account does not need it, especially for newcomers from outside Germany? C24 is a German bank with a German IBAN, but Revolut gives you a Lithuanian IBAN. What I can recommend to you is to get both since they are free. I have both and I use Revolut for foreign currencies and C24 as my main bank in Germany (salaries, savings, etc.). As far as I know, C24 also allows you to make payments in foreign currencies, but the exchange rate is not as good as Revolut. Yes, C24 requires Anmeldung, but this is an essential step to prevent fraudulent behavior.

No, that's quite improbable, German universities have always been free, but in the early 2000s we tried tuition fees, which was very unpopular (duh!). So they were abolished again after only a few years.
