IDK about NIO & their valuation. Been investing since 3000 EV deliveries a month. Now NIO just had 6700 insurance registrations in one week. & Now the stock is $4 only a fraction of where it was 4 years ago when they delivered 3k a month.. So strange, Tesla's market cap is down a bit from 2020, but NIO is the EV valuation celler dweller !! This is geopolitical

Lost £50 on Nio shares but glad I got out. I liked the battery swap idea until BYD are making a battery that can charge in 10 mins.

They can make a battery charge in any time they want, fact is most people can't get near a charger when out or at home, and nobody wants a fixed battery, so battery swap that can charge also is the way

Fixed batteries is a death sentence for EVs as sooner or later the battery will die. Battery swap gets round this issue plus the swap stations can also generate money for Nio by charging the batteries when electricity is cheap then selling it back to the grid during peak times when electricity prices are high.

Looked at 3 Cadillac EVs, 2 Chevy Blazer EV's, 1 Chevy Equinox EV and 3 Kia EV9's at Dealer lots. The Equinox was the best looking IMO and cheapest. However EVs aren't selling well and setting on Dealer lots for long periods of time. Took 100 mile trip on I75 today to Cincinnati ......Saw Tesla Y models everywhere.....and a few model 3's. Literally saw over 100 Teslas on the Highway. Tesla is dominating the Market if you look around in America and Competition is coming from everywhere. That said my investment in ASTS space mobile soared up 15% today, PENN up 6%, Tesla up 5% and Nio up 2%. If u were allocating money to invest.....where would u put it based on past 30 day performance of a stock short term?

Yes, years ago, Tesla almost went bankrupt. However. Elon Musk did an incredible job of managing Tesla to profitability. However, Nio's financial position is much riskier because of its less disciplined management in allocating its capital expenditures, inter alia, battery swap energy infrastructure, Nio Houses, multiples of models, and Nio phones. I continually get the feeling that Nio wants to run before it's learned to walk.

@TheOddInvestor it's all for naught if Nio runs out of capital before it's profitable. Uber's founder, Travis Kalenick, almost ran Uber into the ground until he was replaced. Today, Uber is thriving. Uber's situation is not dissimilar to Nio's. Often, the critical skills and vision necessary to found a company aren't he same skills necessary to manage that company toward profitability.

Both companies have their own burdens. Tesla had to convince the world on EV'S.. NIO has to convince the world that a Chinese EV company can be premium, with battery swapping technology, (an abandoned Tesla idea!!). The world already knows that NIO Is premium, but the current geopolitical situation now is the ultimate X-factor.. The Current financial war, & Anti Chinese policies are evident to the point that it's discrimination at this point.. The US views China's rise as a threat to the US.. This hegemony thing goes through cycles since Egypt, Rome, Greeks, British, Dutch, Portuguese, Spanish.. But the Chinese are a target so slow or prevent China from overtaking the US.. Ridiculous moronic views imho..

Li Bin seems not to care about the shareholders. He is in no hurry to be profitable, keeps diluting shareholders. With the current cash burn rate, NIO will only have cash for another 3 or 4 quarters unless the revenue grows every quarter and the burn rate decreases. Either be profitable soon or run out of cash or get left behind the its competitors. The stock prices says it all!

Apple without Stive Jobs there is no competition of tesla at all The battery Swap for me is the biggest problem Of NIO if nio have so many cars like tesla swap station is more waiting swapsystem is not a future, is a now think where is already late . i see only one positive in swap... reselling electricity. but same do tesla energy storige and every car conected to the house . in future Battrery will get smaller and faster to charge . in every parkin you coud instal a supercharger but not swap . Nio SEO say wait 10 years .... after 10 years every car will charge in 5 minutes . and swap will be same speed and more waiting time becouse only one car can fit vs 50. how many time will a swap station do 50 cars . you coud build 50 supercharger in one parkin area but not swap where will use important space of the parking space . only for swap. if nio stop the swap i see a big growth. and reinvest in 1 car to make it profitable ...

Considering the battery it might technologically be possible to charge like 100 kWh of power in 5 minutes. BUT this means you need a charger capable of providing 1.2 MW of power. While it is possible to build that it is very expensive. And it becomes ever more expensive if you build like 15 of those to charge multiple cars at ones. 14-15 MW is the equivalent of power of about 30'000 people require! In order to fast-charge 15 cars in parallel you need the power delivery of a small city! This means expanding the electricity grid massively and/or build new power plants nearby. You would not want to pay for those electricity prices. That is the big problem with fast charging lots of cars in parallel. Swap Stations solve this problem by also charging batteries in parallel but in a much slower pace and much more economical. The grid stabilization comes as a surplus benefit making the PSS financially more lucrative. Also, charging batteries slower causes a lot less expensive losses and less wear on the hardware, amongst a lot more benefits like easy rollout of new battery-tech, easy repair and maintenance of the core drive unit etc.

my is also tesla 1 and it haved so many bullish News last days. you say no news where you live. Nio is my second and maybe time to sell . aways down , every time Hype to go up and always down . i am -80% on Nio Tesla got profit after first mass delivery car model 3 . Nio aways makes new cars but no one profitable. i am realy so disapointed of NIO and now the CEO say wait 10 years .... Tesla will grow not because of the cars future are many other places they work on With profit ..
