I own this exact car and I love it. I had a 2008.Sold it at 125;000 only because I wanted all the bells and whistles. I have not been disappointed. I am a 73 year old woman who likes the luxury and the way it handles. Fast car, no doubt

Hey! Congrats! I mean, it’s a great car no matter when you get it, if you’re considering, I’m sure you’ll love it. Plenty of power and looks great, drives even better. The best choice against Mercedes, BMW or Audi. 👍

discovercars thanks for the quick reply, I was also thinking of a cpo 2012-2014 base model as I don’t need the power I just love the car as it been my dream car since I was about 12. Would you say a 2014 model would be better as it 0-60 is 7.4 seconds which is basically the same as most cars of today such as a Camry

No worries! 2012 would be fine, honestly, it’s all about the driving feel, they just drive more like a car than other SUVs, golden rule with older Porsche’s, needs to have a perfect service history, and doesn’t hurt to book it in to your local Porsche Centre for a Pre Purchase inspection.

Stupid to compare Cayenne S with Trackhawk... because Cayenne Turbo exists you know. Cayenne you were reviewing also lacks Sport chrono package, it is all about specs.

I guess so! But at the time of reviewing, the Cayenne S was priced about the same as the Trackhawk. So for your price, what would you rather?

I´ve just ordered the new Macan, we are two adults and two kids, 3-years old!! Should I look at the Cayenne or stay with the Macan? I have a couple of more days to decide!!

Hi! Congratulations! It depends, if you plan on having the Macan for a long while, when the kids get into their teens, that’s when you’d need the Cayenne. But if you only plan on having the Macan for a short term period like 5 years, then you should be fine. Basically, stick with Macan for now, change to Cayenne later!

Thanks for your reply!! That sounds like a good plan, I’ll stay with the Macan for now, talked to my dealer today and he said the same!! I also have a 991.2 GTS with childseats in the back so the Macan will be a nice complement when we need more space and lugage!!

We bought the Macan for my wife. She kept it two weeks and wanted out of it. We traded it in for the new BMW X3 M40i, which is a pretty amazing car. I just took delivery on the 2019 Cayenne S for myself. Having driven the Macan and spent time in it I will tell you that it's very small...smaller inside than expected. It drives like a go-cart. Definitely wouldn't suggest it for a family with kids.
