My favourite part of this era are the Wii U virtual console and better Nintendo directs, the 3DS and better games like Pokémon X and Y, Kid Icarus uprising, Super Smash Bros for Wii U, Mario Kart 8 and etc.

Pokemon moon. Me and my brother both got a game each, he got sun and i got moon. It was great. We would always battle eachother and play the game at the same time

3DS is still my favorite gaming console to this day. The DS and 3DS era of games have a majority of my all time favorites.

This is exactly why I’m glad I grew up with the Wii U. Unfortunately it’s life span was too short, and once I got it, I only had a few years to use its services and have fun until the switch came out and Nintendo discontinued literally everything to do with the console.

This Era was the best for me. There's so much on the 3ds that I still play it today. Unfortunately, some part of that fun had disappeared because of some services that stopped functioning in the past three years.

I agree it seemed like those 2 generations were a lot more fun than currently. With Switch in my opinion it's been kinda depressing since the switch came out The majority of the games came out for it were expensive ports and pathetic online services

I agree. I also love WiiU/Wii motion controls! I don’t like retro consoles, I prefer new ones like the Switch, but I still come back to my wiiu to play games like: Just Dance, Wii Sports Resort and mush more (Yeah, I know that Wii didn’t appear in the video, but I think the wiiu and Wii are like one thing to me. If I’m mistaken, excuse me😅😊)

If feel the opposite. I really feel the Wii U is completely different than the Wii, and it really is. I think another one of Nintendo’s mistakes was calling it the WII U. It should of been apparent just how different it was to anyone.

this is one of my favorite era, but i think i really like all eras except the current (and boring) one. many games that were released were either remakes or incomplete games (not enough content for 60$/€).

Not gonna lie, I really miss the fun personality these consoles have. I guess they wanted the Switch to feel more "mature", so they removed the personality from the consoles.

Imagine having either of these, im a wii only person still but I did get a gameboy way after its time and loved it but it broke very tragically and is still a core memory of me exiting my camper as a kid even though it was just in my driveway and I dropped it as it opened the back up in the downpouring rain and it just had a huge line down the screen after that :'(

The New 3DS (not the XL), the fact that it had interchangeable faceplates, combined with the customizability of the interface made it the most expressive, individual, and generally customizable 3DS ever.

I really miss the use of the touch screen and the use of download play. It was so cool being able to play games with your friends without having them to own the game too, cuz if they already own a switch I don’t see the point.

idk, i feel like the ds/wii era was my favorite, partially because it was my birthright, but also because it had so many high quality games from nintendo and other companies, and extensive backlogs of mostly junk games and also some hidden treasures. you can't get mad at the era that gave you the best mario and luigi games either.

I like that I have all my games on one console now with the Switch. There was some good games for the Wii U and for the 3DS, but that's the thing you had to buy two separate consoles to enjoy all the games. They got rid of Miiverse because they didn't feel like it was necessary since people already use other social medias. Don't get me wrong Miiverse was fun, but I wasn't always using it. The era and most nostalgic for is during the 90s. I love playing my SNES and my Game Boy. Super Game Boy was cool as well. I also had a lot of nostalgia for the N64 era. Not saying these are the best eras or my favorite eras, but I have fond memories of them.

CB/GBC and N64 era was just as good on the whole. But the GBA is BY FAR the best handheld ever made by Nintendo and the GameCube was an awesome console. Still remember the first time booting up Metroid Prime, Wind Waker and RE4.

i think it definitely has alot to do with people being overly nostalgic for that era, it wasnt a good time for the company itself (both systems being flops at their launch) they picked themselves back up and are now super successful
