I've done this, spent hours on the Missouri and the same afternoon on the Arizona memorial. The USS Missouri is docked backwards facing the USS Arizona her guns are elevated at 30 degrees standing 24 hour vigilant over the Arizona.

Missouri was on my bucket list following the USS Intrepid If only tickets to Hawaii weren't expensive then I would gladly come aboard to explore

Was there in 2016. And being from Missouri it was the best. My legs was talk to me about it. And it's the best part of my 2 weeks there.

It held off an alien invasion, blowing up a large alien craft. It seems like they've repaired the damage quite well too! Did they ever recover port anchor from the bottom of the ocean?

Because she was the final battleship ever made and upon her deck was the signing of Japan's surrender but I also believe it was a sign of victory and power of the US Military and all it's factions of Land Sea and Air but also on your Enemy you want to show off your power and strength and that the US is not the messed with

Can anyone help me find out some information about the surrender signing. My grandfather was in WW2, he was a diesel mechanic and I was told that the crew members of the Missouri were given gifts that was copies of the signed surrender and a map of everywhere the USS Missouri sailed during the war and they were rolled up in end pieces of bamboo. These gifts were only given to the ships crew. My reason for wanting to find out is that I have one these, though my grandfather wasn't a member of the Missouri's crew, he was aboard for the trip home from the singing to the United States and was given this gift by one of the ships mechanics for my grandfather working with the crew to pay for the ride home. I was told this story several times when I was younger. Now I'm the youngest of the grandchildren and there's no other family members alive to help me to confirm if these documents are something I need to preserve for my children or if it's nothing more than a trinket. All thoughts or information will be greatly appreciated

Too expensive to make a trip of that nature. We have awesome Battleships on the Mainland a whole lot cheaper to visit and have money left over for a few more Vacations.

Missouri was docked next to the Kitty Hawk in Bremerton Washington 1976 We would go over to the Missouri weekly and hang out on the main deck
