Titanium Ranger was designed by Plex which handles all the Sentai designs in general. Saban or Bandai America simply commissioned them. That's why they look so good. Ditto for Spirit Rangers and Battlizers.

Great discussion Hedge. You really hit some great points here. If my memory is right, past American-made Rangers were still physically produced in Japan by PLEX, but I get the feeling that's not the case with these suits. The color, texture, and sculpted muscles and chests remind me of the overly muscled Halloween costumes (both for kids and adults). The best example of the roided-out Bandai America figures has to be the 15th Anniversary Red Rangers. Those just don't look human at all. We've come full circle with Japan making fun of us in Akibaranger Season 2 with the Powerful Rangers book.

PLEX is owned by Bandai, so I can see why Hasbro might not want to rely on them if they want to rely less on Bandai and Toei in the future and do their own thing with Power Rangers.

My only real problem is how foamy they look and the slight muscle. I wish they had the shiny spandex ontop.

That is not spandex! The material is a self-assembling nano-fiber formed with an intercellular shape memory alloy.

The lack of the black bolt on the chest really makes the design feel plain. I don't get why they removed it. The sculpted muscles and boobs are a weird addition since their previous suits didn't have them. I also just don't like this americanization of these suits having those muscles and boobs prominently featured. Takes away some uniqueness the Power Rangers suits had. I don't really mind the Beige color for Zayto's Zenith Ranger form. But it doesn't look great in person. The art does a much better job bringing out the color while the physical suit washes out and makes it all gray. Not that I don't want a gray ranger but that clearly isn't what they're going for. Amelia being red is cool and does fix the issue I had with not matching kyuen-oh color-wise (minus Aiyon). Because even after all of Sentai's experimentation with ranger designs there's no way they're gonna do a core female red ranger.

Ngl, the suit feels like it was made of rubber, a very cheap rubber. . . One way they could fix it by making spandex with shiny materials and covering it over that suit. At least it has texture and the color doesn't feel dull af🤔

I think they look okay but I agree with your point about the pec/ab padding that makes it look cheaper. I think part of it is that the fabric they’re made of is way more matte and not as reflective as most Sentai suits we’re used to.

The color is "Champagne". I'm glad they introduced a new color because Im so bored of the same colors over and over. White would have looked nice though. The muscle suit is odd but I think because the suit was plain, they added it

What bugs me the most is that Aiyon is still not uniform with the rest. Imo they Should've made him yellow and given him the silver visor and stuff. Because he most likely will use the kiji voyager. And he's not the sixth rabger anymore so i don't get why his suit is still different... at least they should've taken out the blue Accents

I think another point of cohesion to connect these rangers together would be with the boots, maybe they could all have that silvery color that's on the chest piece. These suits look off with how overly simple they are and the added muscles, removing the latter and adding more dino aspects to the suits would make them look way better.

9:12 Yes they lost there zords but not the suits. These new suit are just ment to be upgraded Dino Fury suits that's why there's still dinosaur elements.

I'm sure the reason why they kept the helmets relatively the same (cause they are different. they have small golden additions) is so they are recognizable. A kid can see cosmic fury red and recognize they are amelia with a new coat of paint. Still doesn't make it any weirder of a choice with the dino fury zords gone tho

my real problem is how empty it looks. if the design that's on the shield was brought done into the torso(with a combination of the original chest design) it would probably look better and maybe take the focus off the fake muscles. also Zayto's off white look is not it for me

I think it’s better to judge the suits once we see them in an actual episode as opposed to behind the scenes iPhone footage. Things always look different on a proper camera with different lighting.

Imo they're too matte, especially with a space theme. These suits should be bright and colourful, not so incredibly muted. Easily could've gone with silver and gold instead of....grey and dirty champagne Edit: I know there's a gold ranger, in that case: just do, like, a more blueish pink, like bright fuchsia pink or some. Pinke malw Ranger would've been lit

I agree with you very much. While it’s exciting that we get the first pure US design, and that we finally have a girl as the red ranger, a lot of these suits, just leave stuff to be desired. Especially all the muscles. One thing that said, power rangers apart is that it was a very Japanese design. They were martial artists. The styling was a lot more for a cruiser weight not super muscle bound person. They looks like teenagers because that’s what the characters were but these costumes seem to be modeled after comic book superheroes. With the sculpted physics that makes these actual show costumes look like Halloween costumes. Seriously they look like those Halloween costumes. You buy have the sculpted muscles on them. Because you are superheroes are all musclebound superman with these for Zikes that don’t look like normal people because they’re superheroes. And everything about the cosmic design looks very much like a superhero. The armor thing on the shoulders, the Cape. It just feels very US comic book character more than Power Rangers. And I would be OK with that, I would like that different take on them. But I’m not a fan of the fake muscles either. And then there was beige. I agree, they could have made him white, they could have made him silver. But even the gold ranger in Zeo wasn’t all gold, he was black with gold accents because they realize that the gold spandex didn’t look good. It always looks dull. Like it was never shiny enough to come across as gold. And that’s what this beige looks like.

I think the suits could have some more character, and a bit more metallic. To make it pop, like their ranger team symble on the front of the suits, Or hell could do something like what the MMPR Movie did and had their respective zord symble on the suits. To help identify what their zords are and who they are. And the Helmets could match their new zords more. Taking a page from Kamen Rider Geats with their animal head thing. Just my thoughts.

I feell like it has to do with the suit being so plain. Ranger suits typically have more design to the suit or symbols to fill the void. It's similar to the wild force suits where it's alot of emptiness but just enough design to look proper.

My idea of adapting Uchu Sentai Kyuranger would be better than this. I think if they did something similar to Dino Thunder by having one of the Rangers from the past show up and be a part of the team. Having some references from Power Rangers in Space and Lost Galaxy, similar to Dino Charge and Ninja Steel, did having the villains looking for powerful artifacts that the Rangers are using. Not to mention, the Red Ranger is finding his father, who was missing for all those years, and his dad is part of the team, but the only thing that's different between those two shows is that his dad is one of the Rangers from the past. I was thinking of having Andros as the Red Ranger dad. He married Ashely, he's friends with the Violet Ranger counterpart, and he's supposed to be Tsurugi Ohtori, the other Red Rangers counterpart.

It's the lines going through the visors that make these suits off. I also think the weapons aren't the appealing. I feel the Red Ranger should have a traditional sword. The Black Cosmic Ranger should have a large Cosmic battle axe, the Yellow Ranger should have Cosmic Daggers, The Blue Ranger should have a Cosmic Lance or type of spear. The Green Cosmic Ranger Should have a Cosmic Bow. This would fit in well with the reunion, and pay even more homage to Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

The suits are not good period. Maybe there will be some cgi effects to the suits, which will probably make them look better. I hope in action with all effects in place, they'll be great. Only time will tell.

I quite like the more bare look to the suits, they look quite superhero(ish), I’m fairly apathetic to the live action material, so long as the foam(?) muscles and suit material look good on screen and the characters can move the same as before I’ll have no problem, the zenith ranger probably could use a better colour but I’m a sucker for a cape

4:37 I just realized that it's a cuirass. The entire group is wearing cuirass armor. Take a look at Zayto's suit. I'm not sure exactly how they were able to put it on, but there is a split down the side. 9:13 Yes, they went boom along with the saber. 9:53 My thing is that they knew exactly how it was going to end, yet I don't think anyone planned the design. 16:08 I will agree that she's the first red ranger that wasn't added into the team. Zayto's looks neat outside the ambiguous color. if it were white or even silver it would look awesome. i do agree that the morpher look totally awesome. these suits might grow on us after we see them in action. i think it took a few episodes for the Titanium and Spirit rangers to grow on.

I think there is too much of they own colors. I don't know how to explain it, but past costumes felt unique with a uniform design. These rangers are uniform, but they feel like they did the bare minimum for them.

I understand why they didn’t but I wish the included more elements from the kyuranger suits and merged it with the Dino fury suits. Like the belt and the leg bands the kyuranger suits have other then that my only really issue is the muscle padding it makes the suits look off but the more I look at them the less it effects me

Honestly I get people's complaints about not using Kyuranger suits buty whole thing is how would they use them if Kyuranger has like 12 members while Cosmic Fury has 6. They have 10 episodes. How can they get 6 more rangers in a 10 episodes series. Yes u can choose which one u wanna use for the 6 Cosmic Rangers but then you'll upset the Super Sentai fans for not just using all of them idk I'm happy with these suits. The one negative thing I have to say about them is the sleeves portion of the suits. U can see the bodysuit not attached to the sleeves and u can see a little hole on the sleeves

Simple solution: they shouldn’t have set up to use Kyuranger. They should have let Dino Fury end or continued with the same theme for a second season and then made a new season entirely dedicated to Kyuranger alone. It’s too late to change the poor decisions that have been made, unfortunately.
