Darkest knight just said that he didn't want to expend his energy to fight superboy-prime meaning he was going to run out of energy if he kept fighting superboy-prime. That's why it shows superboy-prime beating him because superboy-prime was above darkest knight as he even stated that he was going to steal the darkest knight power. It doesn't make sense saying he wasn't at full power. So if he wasn't at full power he let superboy-prime beat him up? Doesn't make sense at all. Put it in your perspective if you get in a fight you going to go all out or you gonna let him beat you up and later on you going to say you weren't trying? So yes superboy-prime foes scale to darkest knight

Don’t forget, before current Source. Source was basically kinda fodder, then they made it equal to the Overvoid in Final Crisis era. Then they just made it basically be the center of the Omniverse, now basically you can say Overvoid is far larger than The Source. Remember during Final Crisis era, basically the Monitor Sphere was basically the highest place of existence in the multiverse. Now it’s basically the 6th Dimension. I won’t say it’s as bad as Source or the Sphere of Gods stuff, but worth mentioning. The new canon is also confusing, TGD is basically older than the Overvoid, although likely not as powerful. Plus they kinda nerfed TGD because in the original they were portrayed as equal (Although from what I’m hearing it was just a manifestation of the Presence), but now. They literally state TGD needs puppets and avatars like Darkseid, Empty Hand, Mandrakk, etc. to weaken the Light. It kinda eliminates how big of the thread The Great Darkness originally was.

I don't see it as weakening the TGD because even the Presence/Source had avatars and messengers that did its bidding, I see them making the Great Darkness every bit as powerful and having as much influence as the Source.

Adding on to that they stated it exerted while it was asleep all, beings like Darkseid knew it wanted to destroyed everything. Note during Final Crisis, The Great Darkness was still asleep. So it’s clear it made the avatars to weaken the Light, with it’s avatars and puppets not aware of their connection. It’s clear too that there wasn’t really a “truce” it was just the Great Darkness pretending to do the truce and then decided to secretly get more aspects to weaken the light.

Didn't Heracles basically pants Thanatos to stop him from taking someone's life? Pretty sure Diomedes also shanked Ares and Aphrodite with Athena's help. Ares also gets punked by two giants. According to the Iliad, Achilles was also going to defy the Fates and destroy Troy before its time, and the Fates are pretty consistently the highest tiers of Gods, save for Zeus. Really, Greek Mythology has its gods usually bully wimps, and the strongest heroes usually have some cool showings. So really, it's about as consistent as DC & Marvel.

This is why I much prefer Marvel over DC when it comes their cosmologies, powerscaling characters and continuity. While DC tends to reboot more times than I can take a shit, Marvel never really rebooted it's shit and just kept expanding (for better or for worse). But the one thing I hate mostly about DC is their inconsistency of powerscaling. On one hand you have characters like Superman who is so strong that he can lift the weight of the earth over a million times over without breaking a sweat, but then on the other hand he struggles and needs help from Wonder Woman and Martian Manhunter to pull the earth. He even needed help to pull the freakin moon, but then also helps to lift the Book Of Infinite Pages. The Flash is another example. On one hand the Flash is able to travel through time and ran so fast that he outran the concept of death itself, but then you also have that same Flash getting tagged by Superman, Darkseid and others. DC is so inconsistent and it's not even funny. While Marvel can also be inconsistent at times, but DC is way worse.

And this is has to stop, even darkseid, the darkness or the concept is not even it or is anymore, the term "Darkseid is" has lost its meaning now, even the soulfire and avatars people say and pull up in arguments in versus battle debates is now retconned and are now going on in just headcanons and many because of this and I don't even know what is the real origin of darkseid is anymore, its just all loose and confusing as shit and many more are getting affected by this, even the major characters are in supes, bats, wonders and everything.

One of things I hate about the DC cosmology is that Darkseid and all New Gods are platonic forms with multiple avatars that formed the singularity. I hate that because DC characters have multiple alternate self across the multiverse but Darkseid implied that he's one and only and there's no Darkseid than himself. I hate it, to me, forget about all about platonic concept and gives Darkseid and the New Gods each own parallel universe self across the multiverse just like the rest of DC characters. Dealts with it, without any contradiction.

The entire dc reboots of crisis and finales which are just do-overs reminds me of what old flash says to young flash and that trying to fix the past will make things worst for the future and make it even more complicated and this encapsulates the entirety of dc nutshell. Yeah I agree but I think they've been cleaning it up as of late all while making some retcons and going back to the time where the Presence and GEB were the big dog's. For me it got confusing after Final crisis when grant Morrison got all meta with it, Hopefully after the latest changes they just stop retconning certain things and just go forward.

I feel it's mainly the godsphere, too many writers want to mess with new gods without appreciating what they are. Darkseid has gone from an alien to beyond Prepetua and The Empty Hand. Not that I'm against Darkseid or other new gods being threats, but follow some kind of philosophy for your race. Don't keep changing them and just pretending that they are stronger in the same ways.

But I can actually answer specified questions, like the map thing for example, the map has not really been changed much pre Dark Knights metal (which then it changed cuz the source wall broke). And Narratives also scale above the bleed.

I do agree with you, but I will point out the one with Darkseid and Doomsday, which is that doomsday needed the boom tube get there with boom tubes adjusting your size depending on where you're trying to go which is the reason why Darkside doesn't automatically destroy the entire Multiverse with just his shadow which he almost did in one story with the boom tube shrinking them down much smaller than he actually is an apocalypse

The bleed is just a space with greater spatial dimensions than the dc multiverses, it is below the godsphere without question. The scaling within the godsphere is weird. The doomsday that fought Darkseid was a boomtube doomsday, or you’re talking about an avatar fighting early doomsday before he fought Superman. I personally only think heaven, Lucifer in hell, and the dreaming and endless realms are the only outerversal scaling for the godsphere. I don’t think there is a set value all the godsphere is. I do agree the presentation and explanation of the cosmology is rough for DC, they do just stack information and scaling. Yeah infinite frontier is wild for everything just being canon. I enjoyed the video and don’t disagree with your general message, just wanted to share my perspective on what you specifically talked about.

@@BigSirSplash the boomtube one fighting true form is technically a fair fight as Boomtube Doomsday would be equal in size to True Form Darkseid and his stats and abilities magnified to match his size, but if there is another fight I’m forgetting where regular doomsday ended up at Apokilips and fought true form Darkseid then yeah that would be incredibly inconsistent for the godsphere scaling. I guess a possible explanation for regular Doomsday doing it is if the author thinks Doomsday is always comparable to Superman, even the Superman that whistled away True Form Darkseid at the end of Final Crisis, which is also absurd but DC has that issue with it’s cosmology as authors don’t agree and don’t have to reach a common consensus for how things operate in DC.

I think I may have mentioned this on your Superman video but the bleed wasn't being used to cure cancer period it was being used to repair Lois Lane wounded heart. Lois was attacked and put in a state where she would die if Superman wasn't keeping her heart beating with his heat vision. How heat vision causes a heart to beat I don't know but apparently the wound was some sort of conceptual thing which is why Superman had to go with the monitor chick that said she freeze time on his Earth so that he could run this errand for her and he would be able to use the Elixir distill from the bleed in order to save Lois Lane

that my problem with Dc they cant have one writer keep their stuff straight. Their cosmology make no sense at all anything in it make no sense. You got the speed-force allowing speedster to break HYPERTIME. You got the emotional spectrum go from being unlimited emotion of the entire dc multiverse To " it's a reserve of emotion " only for that to ALSO get retcon. You got the bleed being called the strongest source of energy to being able to be used by low tier character (street - Solar+) Then you have the " negative " multiverse coming out with all of the negative powers etc... Then you have material X or something that is also call the best source/material of the multiverse scaling above true form darksied and anything sense it's allowed the user to wish for anything. Then you have the forces' and the other form of power being scale above or lower and it just a mess to understand.
