They are the same tank but the Defender itself with the permanent skin has not been for sale for a few years. Too bad I would like to get it, not just the Obj 252U.

I just had 5k dmg battle with Defender few hours ago, play safe and remember to aim before shotting will be fine, this tank still work.

I got my first Tier VIII Bond tank days ago and I was considering this. But I went for the T34-3 for the sole reason that it doesn't meet Tier X

@christonkinson8473 I fitted mine with Vents/hardening/rammer. I have aiming circle mod that I set to 15px so I don't really need Aiming on any of my tanks. You know this stuffs really works becuz when I first played the tank without any Mod and equipment, the aiming was sooo bad I feel like crying that I wasted my bonds(I have just 4k remaining now) but after setting it up fully it is now just as accurate as any med I have played. It will do with more penetration though, sometimes 196mm pen sucks.

PSA: If you are looking to buy this tank go to the bond store and get the identical tank Obj. 252U for 9k bonds. So weird he opened the last video about going to the bond store to buy a tank that WG was selling for 50 bucks. But somehow that is completely absent from this video...

This tank only exists to make enemies press 22. Large parts of the tank are butter against premium shells, but they gave it an LFP that bounces standard ammo. So much for aiming at weakspots.

I've wanted the Defender for quite some time, only ever seem to get offered the 252U (which is what is on "sale" for me currently) I know they're the same tank, but the name and style of the Defender is far superior. Wallet remains closed until WG decides to sell the right thing to me!

Used to be a solid brawler. Power creep has rendered the turret armor into paper for a few T8 and a lot of T9 & T10. Since you meet T10 a lot, this isn't nearly as fun as it used to be. Back when it first came out, you could exploit their height. If you had a tall tank (nodding at Mutant), face hug them and shoot the heck out of the top of the turret.

bZ 176 eats defenders for breakfast, it easily pen cupola/roof and do 1k dmg in one shot, talk about balanced tank... meanwhile can defender even pen BZ'?!?

252u is a troll tank if you aim at the target it will not hit but if you snapshop it will hit

The greatest thing about the Defender and actually where i personally still have trouble with is that the lower plate can bounce quite a lot just like the Mutant and Chrysler. It even does against gold when angled properly. I never thought it was op however since it still has hittable cupolas on top, easy to permatrack if overangled and it catches fire quite quickly.

1 of 10 games will be tier 8-6. All games will be suffering as against tier 10 heavy's u have no chance armor is garbage cause tier 9-10 will pen 4out of 5 shots . U will do few shots and back to garage , i have 5skill crew whole equipment for accuracy still u will miss weakspots as gun is trash. Armor wont work against tier 10. Dont buy it. U have been warned . Unless u r top tier as skill4ltu is showing gameplay then yeah its fun.

The Defender is crap; traded mine in. You'll only get satisfying performance when top tier and even then, it's just too unreliable. Save your money.

the upper plate of this tank cannot be pen by anyone, anyone, not even JPanzerE100 with 299 pen AP or 420 pen HEAT. and this is a tier 8. there are way too many OP tanks out there nowadays, and if it requires a little bit of skills and patient to play it people will call it trash. and a side note, 50% of the turret front is also auto bounce for JpanzerE100. but you are pening the Jpanzer in the lower plate with your standard AP, because it is made of paper. like how much more do you want from a tier 8 premium tank? i bought the fcm50t (150mm front armor and 240 alpha with no camo) and wz111(buffed to 19x penetration from 175mm) back then with real money, and we have people complaining the 252 is trash. WG is toxic but the community is the enablers to allow WG ridiculous behavior. nowonder why people are rolling with tier 8 mediums that have 230mm of penetration and 360 alpha plus an auto loader with ultra strong turret and they be complaining (the gun handling is bad)
