Yes to this! I started water coloring last year. Sometimes I don't feel I'm getting better, and then I realize that I am. Even if I can't see it. My brain is changing and learning, and that's progress.

Thank you! This is a rather timely as I've been wondering about whether or not my art is meaningful if no one sees it. Yes it is! Because I'm making all this stuff for myself. I enjoy making my art and it's how I make sense of the world. It's absolutely a passion.

Great thoughts Danny and who doesn't love the fab 4 Liverpool's gift to the world. Will there be any link to the thoughts here it in your weekly essay? I'd love to consider some more widely ranging thoughts on it. I surely would never wanna repeat my teens or my twenties. Know whether it runs in your blood or not would be my thoughts.

To be fair, though, you left out the part where they would reaffirm their intention to be the Toppermost of the Poppermost... so maybe not just passion but ambition got them there. Otherwise, great!

As most of use are not naturally talented practise and persistence is the way forward. And make sure when you can you have good supplies, so get rid of your Pete Best. For context £2 10 shillings a night, £2 50p, was good pay. The average pay in 1959 was £15 a week with many earning less than that. And many people still worked a five and a half day week.

Danny, I like and appreciate your work. But can you PLEASE stop referring to yourself and others as "Creatives." I can't imagine a more pompous self-title. It makes me cringe and feel totally embarrassed about my art pursuits. My mechanic is pretty dang creative when he's working on my car. As is the electrician who figured out how to run a wire into my back room. You get the point. Thank you for taking this under consideration, and keep up the good work.

Just using the common current usage.

I don't like the term creatives for the opposite reason. I feel like it trivializes what we do and it's just another box to stick us into. I don't feel like it's pretentious at all but rather dismissive like oh just ignore him he's one of those ' eye roll here' creatives. Also. Danny, I thought you hated the Beatles.
