At the end of Part One of Lux Rally, the Ford GT began to make some strange noises that sounded A LOT like the ones it was making when it was a massive fire hazard. Previously our friend Jerry (AKA Young Ken Miles) fixed the car so it would run right. As you’ll see in the video, the problem we suspect it is isn’t related to what he did.
Upon having the car checked out (a video coming up later on the channel), Jerry’s work DID NOT have anything to do with the way the car was running.

This is why I hate "low-milage" used cars; people have these engineering marvels sitting as static displays and they fall apart. If this car had 25k -35k miles, it would be running like a champ; but we buy this car with less than a thousand miles and she is riddled with issues. Moral is people.... DRIVE your cars, and save the paintings, statues and stamps for display.

well the ford GT sounds like it could just be a fuel filter issue.... ie starving the engine of fuel at higher RPM's... the fuel tank wouldnt be an issue its plastic (well I'm 60% sure it is)

It sounds like the neutral rev limit is active when in gear. Which means that the gear/neutral sensor is not working or has moved. Takes 2 minutes for a tuner to delete the limit or look for the sensor on shift linkage/trans and fix it. I ve only watched 40 seconds of the video , maybe I'm wrong. EDIT: Ohh, I see. 2ndary fuel pump supposed to come on at 4k but it's shutting both off instead.

First On Race Day now got to get a 2020gt500 i got blue balls from hearing the V8 and have been looking forward to seeing this thing out. I had same issues on a trip with a car and I would swap out the fuel filter it was alright. But right as I was getting home it started doing it again. Fuel pump socks were a little dirty but gas didnt look so good I took the gas out and changed the filter again and it was clogged. Im assuming it was some shit gas from a hole in the wall.gas station I stopped at.

I bet the computer is going into a limp mode because the fuel pressure parameters where not set for the higher psi pumps. If the computer wasn’t reprogram for those pumps the computer won’t recognize the fuel pressure. But who knows

Randy and I are having the same problems with an car being older and having been sitting I bought a 2010 Taurus sho that only has 15k and it was put in withen the first 3 years of the previous ppl owning it now I’m having problems buying it a few weeks ago the tires are cracked and hard, the coolent lines are cracked oil is 5 years over being changed even tho it’s not near the mileage change yet gas has been sitting in it for 6 years and it was 87 🤮 so I’ve had to run fuel injector cleaner and heat and have had to replace hella coolent lines and the tires which are expensive asf, coming from owning a fusion 😭

I get it that freaking sucks Ive had my cars get wrecked from straight up unlucky stuff like chains on a highway IT FLIPPIN SUCKS. Try this for luck out Eric get a laugh from my misfortune. First car someone stole and drove into a pole. Second car got totaled in a hail storm. Third car a tree fell on fourth car I hit an elk driving home in. All before I was 20 years old. I am still 20... All four were considered no fault act of god instances so thankfully they didn’t effect my rate at all.

Sounds about right... new pumps clean socks all good, starts to suck in some rubbish plays up, you fill up stirs up the sediment in the bottom of the tank pumps run clean. Then as the sediment settles again around the socks plays up... I love low k cars but the fuel system gets destroyed by the fuel going off... unless you put in additives prior to parking it...
