Coucou tout le monde! Today I’m going to share with you what I love about the United States. France and the United States have quite a few cultural differences and there are things that are specific to the US that I love.
I know some of you (americans) wonder what do Europeans think about America and in this video I'm gonna answer part of this question by talking about things I love and miss about the US.

I live in Michigan which is not too far from Pennsylvania. I have a large group of friends and we go camping quite often. We will spend 3 or 4 days hiking, canoeing and cooking over campfires. Each night ends with a camp fire, a few drinks, listening to music and talking to all my good friends. Sounds like you would love it.

@@brownjatt21 One of the most patriotic Americans I have known was a Frenchman who came to this country in 1939. He worked as an assistant chef in the French pavilion at the World's Fair and stayed when WWII broke out. He later joined the Army and landed on Omaha Beach on D Day. That is not how he envisioned returning to his native land. He served as a translator in France during the war and went back to America and owned a French restaurant there. He was both very proud of his French heritage and very proud of his Army service and American citizenship. It meant a lot to him that he had helped to free his native land.

I loved your video. I don’t know if you realize how comical you are, but I was laughing out loud while you were discussing pumpkins. And truthfully, since childhood I’ve always loved pumpkins, Halloween in general, and autumn weather. I love the French word, pontiron. I was in France in 1984 (I was 17) on a school exchange program, and I had three amazing weeks there. I would love to go back, and plan to do so. Thank you for your entertaining perspective. I can’t always identify what constitutes consummately-American culture. Hearing your thoughts helped me recognize certain traditions we practice in the US are not necessarily performed abroad. Good stuff! By the way, you have mastered the English language.

I have spend time in Paris and Niece. I LOVED the people, the culture, and especially the food! I have lived in PNW, (Oregon and Washington) my whole life, and I identify with spending time around the fire. It is quite chilly here in fall, and the summer/fall tradition of friends and family relaxing by a fire is well known. My favorite college memories are all tied to the Oregon coast. (we can still have large fires, but sleeping is restricted)

I visited Paris about 35 years ago and spoke with a young French woman while riding a bus. She said one of the things she loved about visiting America and missed when she got back to France was peanut butter. So you're not alone in that. That being the case, I think I know how you can make your fortune in France. The recipe for peanut butter couldn't be simpler: ground peanuts, oil and possibly (depending on preference) a sweetener of some kind. Something to think about. If I ever happen to notice Manonb brand peanut butter on the store shelf, I'll know you went for it.
@inconnu4961

Thats great advice! But i think the reason why they dont have peanut butter is because they dont have Goober Peas there! LOL Goober Peas (peanuts) are native to North America/Central America, so unless she brought some back to France. It also depends on what part of France she is from. Not sure if Goober Peas would grow in Northern parts of France?
