A Research Scholar in India earns only 31k in first two years and 35k in the next three years of 5 year PhD tenure, while the same research scholar in US or Canada or European nations save around 70k-80k after all expenses. So you can clearly understand from purely economic viewpoint, leaving aside all the technical advantages in the West. Wealth distribution in India is highly skewed, unlike the west.

I think in India most companies like Reliance ,Wipro ,Birla are traditional runned business where the heir is basically the son or daughter of the founder so it doesn't matter if u are a IIT ,Harvard,MIT, Oxford graduate u cannot be the CEO ,it's reserved for the son of the founder. Whereas Microsoft CEO is Satya Nadella not Bill gates son or daughter so it's gives a positive atmosphere for the talented people to seek higher position, whereas India lacks that. And I think it will never change we will continue to face brain drain because of this society.

Way forward..... 1) improve standard of living 2)boost the growth of economy 3) spend almost 3-5% of GDP in education 4) encourage startups to become unicorn 5)make world class university like IISC Bangalore,IIT,IIM etc. 6) making multinational company like Google, Microsoft

Sir, those who have already gone , there is no use in lamenting about that. Now , what we can all do is to try to make India a better place so that our talented workforce don't migrate.

I am highly patriotic and nationalist, I have recently met my relative. She has everything, money, job, luxury. What she don't have is the freedom. Our personal choices are not respected here, however good we are, we can't wear what we want, can't marry by choice (caste ego). This society don't respect our individual choice, then why should we respect society. This is the main reason, I am harsh but people of india are responsible, not government. She just simply advised to go in West. I am an IITian, want to work for my country. Hope I would do it but such things made us too sad and demotivated.

Most of migration happens due to financial gains.. That cannot be stopped unless Indian ruppee strengthens against other currencies.... But honestly , if the whole point of bringing back these talents is to tax them , then it's just not worth their while...

I also admire Western countries= less people more resources, more opportunities, personal freedom. In India mid age aunties are doing chunglibaazi all the time. Uncle are doing sarkari naukri lag gyi , in India the more goon you have the more you are respected. No uniformity in society. People never learn good thing from the world. In my town in front of police station some people and their kids are doing open defecation. And no body is bothered to correct them. Not to mention the the swacch Bharat . Every chauraha nukad is filled with garbage

Great video, There is nothing to gain in India for an aspirational individual apart from the fact that their parents are here. Abused tax payers, discrimination, corruption, unsustainable competition and the list go on and on. All the MNC CEOs are people who have left India early in their journey otherwise they won't be there.

Reservation is harmful for many industries. The Indian youth love to add the word NRI to their name but they said they do that because of their bright future and their children but when at last when their children treated them badly then they will realise that what is the vallu of your mother land. They run after money when their last time come no one will be there for sure. Let them do their work we Indians believe in unity and I believe together we make India a better place where old culture and tradition with modern infrastructure exit. Jay Jagannath 🙏.
