He also did it without his top WR, TE and RB for most of that run. I have no doubt he's gonna be in the running for MVP this year. His WRs, TEs and RBs are all young and talented. He's ready to explode. 4500, 40 TDs and 8 ints should be attainable. That's MVP numbers.

They aren't paying J Love off of 10 games. They're paying him off of 4 seasons. They know how he works, the person he is. He's the safest bet there is. I have all the faith in him. All you need is 10VE 💚💛

The other thing about the "8 game sample size" is that it's 8 games for us fans, but it's not 8 games for the Packer's coaching staff and management and Jordan's teammates. They were seeing something well before he put it together in the 2nd half of the season. They were seeing stuff all week long in practice and in the film room. They feel they know what they got in JLove and certainly have more confidence in their assessment.

Degura played about 11% of the offensive snaps. Dillon will probably get 20-25% of the offensive snaps. AJ's receiving and pass blocking will get him on the field. The number of total snaps will be determined by run blocking and/or injuries.

I personally would like to see Brock Purdy play well for 1 more season before he signs his 50 million dollar contract. Purdy's numbers are amazing, yet I still am on the fence about the guy. With an NFC championship, and a solid Superbowl appearance, I still need a little bit more of a larger sample size with Purdy. Niners are getting like 3 years worth of a sample size from Purdy at 900k/year before giving him a new 50 mil contract. In comparison to Jlove, Purdy has the higher floor, but with a lower ceiling. The fact that I feel like Purdy has the higher floor than Love, means that the Packers really should watch him for another year before committing full-time to him.

You're damn right the Packers have a better roster than the Lions. Lions had huge holes at outside corners and I don't think that drafting 2 rookies with 4.5 speed are going to solve that problem. Terrion Arnold is way overrated and should not have been drafted in the 1st round, there's a reason he was getting targeted last year instead of McKinstry - teams feared McKinstry due to how well he played the season before. I hear you about Tyron Hopper. At first I also felt like this is another typical Packers 3rd round bust. But after doing some research it is clear to me that he was not a reach and the Packers got lucky that he fell to them because Cowboys had a lot of interest in him and chose Liufau at 87. Three reasons why the consensus was way off on Hopper. 1) Down year in 22. First, multiple Mizzou fans said he was banged up throughout the year and it might have impacted his production. Second, his LB coach DJ Smith (ex-Packer btw) said on SI interview that Hopper was used differently than last year because they were trying to do something else scheme wise - that is why for most of the season he wasn't rushing the passer. So the 22 to 23 drop off is not a concern and his 22 stats are more reflective of his normal boxscore production. In 22 he had 33 QB pressures... pass rushers like that don't grow on threes. He's an elite blitzing specialist. Not to mention tackle production and coverage skills. Had Hopper produced another 22 season last year, he wouldn't have been available at 91 for sure. 2) Underrated athletic testing. Hopper was still recovering from injury during the NFL combine so his RAS numbers were all unofficially recorded during his pro day. But his true RAS is closer to 9 than to 7.4. His RAS was dragged down mainly by 4.68 40 and 4.46 short shuttle. But multiple sources reported much better times. Here you can see 4.44 40 and 4.18 short shuttle: www.rockmnation.com/2024/3/22/24108940/how-did-the-missouri-tigers-perform-at-their-pro-day Gute confirmed that his 40 time was in the 4.5s. People got fooled by unofficial times recorded by some dude with an iPhone or something (it was a joined Pro Day of all schools in Missouri area so there were no official results whatsoever). His Pro Day highlights are available on YT: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4mWdmqvjreEjM0 and you can see that both Gute and Sullivan were already present at this event so we should have anticipated this pick all along. Even older sources reported that Hopper ran 4.56 40 when he was transferring to Mizzou: www.si.com/college/missouri/football/mizzou-tigers-lb-tyron-hopper-florida-gators So there is no way he ran 4.68 at Pro Day. Just some dude mistimed his result. His 40 is probably around 4.56 40 with short shuttle around 4.3 (you can clock it yourself from the video). Obviously the Packers had him for a top-30 visit so they know his athletic testing, including tracking data and all that. He's a 9 RAS guy and the tape confirms it. 3) Football people were always a lot higher on Hopper than the consensus board because they watch the tape instead of looking at shady PFF data. Hopper was a Butkus award finalist (top-5 LB in the country as voted by the committee), all-SEC 2nd team (as voted by the coaches) and had many teams looking at him, including the Packers, Cowboys, Bucs and Texans. Given that Tyrice Knight was taken soon after, there was no way he would've been available at 126 so late 3rd round was not a reach.

You are high. The Lions roster is far better than the Packers. The Lions didn’t only draft two rookies. They signed 2 solid free agents as well. Terrion was the top CB in the draft according to most for a reason. Davis and Robertson who they signed before the draft will be a helluva lot better than the scrubs they were left with last year after Mosely was injured after 2 snaps. I promise you, you are way underestimating the Lions defense and their secondary as a whole. Last season people were dragging the Lions because of their terrible run defense the year prior and they had one of best run defenses in the league once they hit the field. If you actually pay attention to what they do in the offseason and add context to it, you can expect a similar advancement in their pass defense this year. There will be better pass rushing due to D-line additions (Reader the biggest one) and even a slight improvement in the secondary will equal a massive improvement overall in passing defense. Dont be surprised after the season starts because I told you so.

@citizen_toxie_
@citizen_toxie_ 16 күн бұрын
@@PackerBronco I understand the market. Goff has accomplished far more. The top ten paid QBs have accomplished far more. Paying a qb 50 million per year because of a 8-10 game stretch is wild in my mind. I can see him getting 40ish because of the great stretch and potential but not top 3 paid qb money.
@PackerBronco
@PackerBronco 15 күн бұрын
@@citizen_toxie_ Fair enough. Now, what if you could not get him for your price? Do you say "good luck trying to get more"? That's where the question of the market comes in. If you are willing to cut him loose after this year because he can get more on the market than what you're offering, well, good luck. Maybe you called it right and maybe not... But when we talk about the market, we're not talking about your assessment of which QB is better. Value isn't determined that way.

don't have to worry LMAO.QBs fall off on regular basis. Cam Newton was ASS after that run to SB, Foles,who played 13 games and started 10 finished with 27TDs and 2 INTs, was never even close to that again, Flacco got 11 TDs 0 INTs in 2012 SB run, got paid and was ASS afterwards, Derek Carr finished 3rd in MVP voting in 2016, got paid and haven't done shit since, Russell Wilson won SB on rookie deal and lost 1 then couldn't even get past divisional round after getting paid,hell,the most recent one - Jalen Hurts, got to SB,got paid and was nowhere close to a 50M QB last year

Jordan Love effectively bet on himself last offseason by bypassing the 5th-year option on his rookie contract deal that would have secured him $20 million for the 2024 NFL campaign, instead signing an incentive-laden 1-year contract with nearly half of the guaranteed money, proving his worth as the long-term signal caller this past season. Now, Jordan Love is extension-eligible yet again, only this time the Packers are at his mercy in negotiations after he guided the youngest roster in the league has seen in 6 years to a 9-8 record and NFC Divisional Round playoff appearance. Jordan Love displayed his elite arm talent this past season after being 1 of the only 4 quarterbacks to record atleast 4,000 passing yards (4,159), and 30 touchdown passes (32), adding 50 carries for 247 yards and 4 scores through the ground. He is only beginning to his the prime of his career only scratching the surface of his capabilities, which is why the Green Bay Packers will give in to his demands rather than risk upsetting him to a point where he decides to play out the 2024 campaign under his current deal. Spotrac co-founder Michael Ginnitti projected Jordan Love and the Packers to come to terms on a 4-year, $200 million extension, including $150 million in guaranteed money back in February. Go Pack Go 💚💚💛💛

Except the 5th year option is up to the team, not the player. He bet on himself with the incentives but he didn’t have a choice on getting his 5th year option picked up. The likely scenario is that the Packers told him they wanted to keep him for a 5th year but they didn’t want to guarantee the full amount so they offered him more potential money in incentives but they weren’t willing to commit to a fully guaranteed 20 million contract at the time.
