Personal favorite V-twin is my dad's dual engine Harley that he built in the 60's. Also seen in the movie On Any Sunday. The slow motion scene with my older brother red lighting at the start.

I guess if it's a twin engine harley it's a twin twin.???? Is that a twin? Or a double twin? I think the suzuki rg500 and the Ariel square four were actually classed as twin twins but the yamaha rd500 was a v4. I seem to remember a guy from San Diego that built gold plated twin engine harley davidson custom chops. Mmmmmmm Just can't remember his name.

On the flip side there was the twin engine Norton Hogslayer that ran out of Sunset Garage. Multi engine bikes are wild.

Sporties handle soo much better than big heavy bikes. 1200s with few mods are pretty fast and 883s with big bore kits can be too. Plenty fast for me. I used to ride big bore sportbikes in my twenties.I’ll be fifty in a few years and I have little interest in riding triple digits anymore. I still love taking off fast up to speed and the nimbleness of the sportster.

@Bunnyshooter 223 The Evo was the best motor ever made, whether it's a Sportster Evo or a Big twin Evo. Those motors saved HD and the Sportster Evos are still taking a beating! I absolutely love mine.

XLCR Café Racer. Just a beautiful piece of iron. Chose a girl over an XLCR in my youth. Relationship lasted a year. Should have taken the bike & left the cannoli. Still, it was a year of the cat. But bikes are usually more reliable. My new bike is a street drag bike. But now I want a cruiser and a classic if I get that far. Beats getting old and just sitting around wishing. But where’s that built XLCR that needs a new home? Although Buell and V-Rods are interesting. V twins also. And the Lowrider ST is the best thing HD has done in a while. Especially if built up a bit. Then there are Sportster based drag bikes. I can understand why Jay Leno’s garage is so large. You can always use one more ride.

The good thing about ET racing is everybody got the same fair chance. Over here in Germany, we have the Street Outlaw ET Bike Series with 20+ competitors. Busas, Vmax, but also some Twins. I´m there with my 96 cid Sporty, and it´s fun to give some of the guys a head start....

The HRC spy and better still the spw are probably the best veetwin motorcycles ever built. They may not give the quarter mile runs for most. But. Out of the box they can leave most in the dust.

I like going to the races, love the smell and the loud noise. But head starts are dumb and if you stop and think about it having two lanes is dumb. You are racing the light not the guy next to you. Why not have one lane, let everyone give it their best shot, then announce the winner with the best ET. The guy next to you can competently fumble at the start, be behind the entire race but win with a "quicker" time. But I still go to my local track and travel out of state.

They’re all well and great, but The one Harley Davidson I’ve ever owned is a 2009 sportster 1200... it’s definitely no performer compared to the rest of my vehicles but that’s perfectly fine. It doesn’t cost six figures, nor does it have the occasional sports car priced Service bill, obscenely hard to find parts, and it doesn’t give me a panic attack every time I park the damn thing in the streets of Chicago. It was cheap, it starts every time, and it’s never taking a shit on me at the worst possible moment. Sure it leaks a little bit of oil here and there, but she’s now got 140,000 miles on her and that Evo is still roaring like a wild animal. It’s a great daily driver that fits in perfectly wherever I go and it’s got so many memories in the tachometer. I’m sorry dude I’m sure your Yamaha is fun and all, but there’s no way in hell you would ever see me get rid of my sporty for an RS warrior. There was a time where I used to hate to admit it, but Harleys are definitely a lot of fun to have… They just have character.
