I'm a Punjab fan(local been to many games) and most fans here don't like Mega Auction because it's not just about winning but also about having stability and attachment to the players of the team and wanting to back your players for a longer period of time. Loads of fans were very hurt with the departure of KL due to mega auction

Man I hate mega auction our KKR academy works so hard to make these players but now what in mega auction teams like RCB, DC, PBKS etc etc have chance to take our players man I hate this thing. Literally before every mega auction's year our team becomes perfect combination and they just break the whole thing. Man I love this year's KKR's squad I want to see all of them same next year in our team but it's not possible.

In the next auction, KKR players are expected to be in high demand, just like before. However, players often perform better for KKR than for other teams. For example, Manish Pandey, Rahul Tripathi, Prasidh Krishna, and Shivam Mavi have all shone with KKR but not as much elsewhere. It's unfortunate because other teams benefit without having developed these players. Many players don't perform as well outside KKR.

IPL auctions are not nice *in my opinion*. Please understand this. He is absolutely right when he says - you put in so much effort. I read a comment below where someone said teams like Pubjab and Delhi will never win an IPL trophy. Well, blame the management for that. In 2008, Delhi for example had a strong team. ABD, Dilshan, DK, Gambhir, etc; you name them; but the management did not retain them. A loyal fanbase for a franchise is much greater than a particular player. Some might not agree, but it's true. You can take the FIFA or NBA for examples. There are teams who have not won for 50+ years, but when they do, it's extremely emotional and a great victory not only for the team but for every fan who supported them through the years. Instead of such auctions, build on the already existing teams, find the massive hidden talent India has, give them an opportunity and make them the upcoming heroes. We should not always focus on stardom and rely on big names, rather than play as a team sport. I'm not comparing IPL to any other sport but I think it's important to build a franchise rather than just focusing on an auction to get views and earn money. Players who deserve more, should be paid more by the franchise itself and not through an auction. They deserve every penny. I'm not a sport expert, I am just a fan like all of you and it hurts to see that you get so attached to a team with a set of players and the next year they are playing with some other franchise. (Again - only my opinion!). Regards.

There must be at least five or six retentions needed Otherwise it will be unfair
