Definitely a lot better than people give him credit for. First year under Urban Meyer was a firestorm. Second year had to learn a new offense and still went to the playoffs taking the Chiefs to the end of the game in the Divisional round. Third year had a piss poor offense line that got Lawrence hurt four times in the last six games of the season. Not to mention Kirk was lost for the season during the Bengals game and Ridley running the wrong routes throughout the season. Have a feeling the best is yet to come!

@@Chrism7178 4 in 1 though. 1 tipped by the Dline, 1 WR went the wrong way, 1 valid int (Engram said it was his fault for not settling in the gap in the zone), and 1 no called PI. Things happen, oh and he still lead them to a comeback win in this same game so he made up for it.

the diff w mahomes contract and almost any other is that he can depend on the chiefs drafting well. him taking less money isn’t such a gamble because they will put a team around him that can help him win.

@@pickasideThe Point is Goff overcame the DROPPED PASSES and a BAD DEFENSE and still led Lions to 12 wins the Division title and won 2 playoff games... Lawrence on the other hand has NEVER overcome those kinds of obstacles. Goff doesn't look Flashy or Dynamic but he is Clearly better than Trevor..... RESULTS MATTER

Until week 12 vs the Bengals T Law improvised, because our center was the worst in the league... This season it had become one of his primary weapons, Just being mobile and improvising... After his leg injury you could see he can't move out of the pocket anymore and has to stand there, while the defense have an extra corner on the field, because they know TLaw can't really move out of the pocket and even with 4 guys the O Line will collapse... I don't understand people who dont watch film and highlights and just say but look at his Team Stats... For example in week 2 against the Chiefs TLaw threw 4 TD passes and 3 were dropped... You can see the change of mobility and playingstyle after week 12

The problem with these kinds of discussions is if your a fan of a particular player like Lawrence, Tua or Kyler Murray then you will give them the benefit of the doubt instead of being fair...with that said there is no Logical reason any of those 3 Quarterbacks can be judged as better than Jared Goff the last 2 Seasons based on Production and Results💯

based on box score sure, but eye test, circumstance, etc, think u could reasonably argue tlaw > goff with little problem. Better arm, better ball placement (tight window throws + deep balls), better pocket presence. I'd personally take goff > tua and kyler, however.

@@noahmelt22 you can also reasonably argue that if you put Trevor in same circumstances he won't be as successful as Goff... people can watch same players and see them differently because I See Goff with better arm, Better ball placement and waaaay better pocket presence and Decision making only thing he has over Goff is mobility 💯💯💯

Jared Goff has to have everything perfect though. Top 5 o line defense and running game at least one WR1. When under pressure his game is atrocious.

Trevor Lawrence has shown to be mid with a good team around him. We can’t ignore all his fumbles. Dude is a better version of Daniel Jones unless he shows something this year and wins at least a playoff game

good team around him? Oline is bottom 3 in the league last season, running game was 30th, and they don't have a #1 WR. They had a rusty Ridley which is not close to who he used to be, Kirk who is a good #2 and Jones who was a good #3. Their best weapon in the passing game was Evan Engram and he is probably around a top 8-10 TE? Stop acting like he has a comparable group around him to these other QBs.

Imagine trying to be a good defense with an offense that basically averaged 3 TOS down the stretch I don’t have a problem with Trevor he’s good but consistently deflecting any blame from him is getting old Defense dealt with injuries and a turnover pledged offensive= they suck Oline dealt with and played thru injuries = they sucked Pass catcher= 10th fewest drops in the league guys playing outta position (X,Y) Kirk, and say injuries = they suck Trevor dealt with injuries the back half of the year= excuses we wouldn’t dare give any other top 10 QB in the league

Well it's a collective of things. Wrs really are mid and dealt with injuries. Like his X wr was Zay Jones and he missed 8 games last season. Ridley had to play X and thats when he struggles getting open. O line ranked 31st . Defense ranked 30th. Pederson handing the playcalling to Press Taylor so really this falls on Doug Pederson. You name one QB that could win a playoff game with Marvin Jones Zay Jones & Kirk?

@@CreaseChannel Wat does that have to do with taking care of the football?...None of these things = QB giving ball to the wrong team. Muddier pocket, yes. But performance under pressure is a thing. If he sucks anytime his blocking isnt great then thats a HIM problem. This the NFL. The pocket wont be perfect every dropback.

@@CreaseChannel "When he misses reads". He struggles beyond his first read. He only completes the speed out with consistency. Thats still not a good excuse for TOs. There are QBs that have less that have far less TOs. His TOs are on him.

It’s honestly people who don’t follow the team who think he’s not good. For what he’s been through he’s a great QB. We had a great off season, we will see this year. I think he has a breakout season. Also if Herbert can get a pass so can Trevor.
