Whatever they say, Uhuru has more than one a legacy to leave for Kenyans, the floating bridge in Mombasa , to replace the Dreadful Ferry, This Super Road in Nairobi that will reduce the time spent in traffic jams. Then the better one is that he as a leader and the president has shown Kenyans that the nation can come together and reduce the unnecessary tensions created by politicians to remain relevant. Weather one likes it or Not the late President Moi wasright , At least he fore saw the leadership Qualities of the present President far before others realized it. The problem with the Kenyan political class is that they are supposed to be Public Servants but the have managed to make the title to be Public Masters. Uhuru the current president has tried his best to be a Public Servant. Thanks Sir.

@@alimussa5560 it's not a propaganda , Uhuru 's leadership is praised by construction of many roads unlike any other gov't but with huge economic failure xterised by inflations of the project's costs. That means it's the only govt which oversaw corruption of the highest order that has never been witnessed in any other government as well. Large cities around the world have these highways in place but the traffic problems still exist. In a few years after construction we'll stil be complaining about traffic congestion. Construction of light rail would be the most effective way to get rid of traffic congestion.
@jdoe99873 жыл бұрын
Even with light rail, metros and single bus lanes, traffic still exists.
@2danadem3 жыл бұрын
@@jdoe9987 I agree with you but if the light rails, metros and bus lanes are properly designed and works/managed efficiently it should attract people. So using these transport means will surely encourage car users to keep their vehicles and in the long term make mainly cars useless. Lessons must be learn from what has been done abroad. Country planning is important in the development of a country at the condition to be done with a vision.

infact, they are bringing down elevated highways in most cities in the west. they ruin the aesthetics of a city. a good public transport system (light rail or metro) is all Nairobi needs.
@georgeodhiambo5983 жыл бұрын
It is not a question of one or the other. We need both. Light rails and improved public transport will keep alot of vehicles off the road. But there are still many people who would prefer to journey across the city in their own vehicles for very good reasons. Just provide for both and get people to pay directly for the services that they enjoy. Don't burden the general taxpayer in provision of those services. Even the cost of those light rails ought to be paid for by, and therefore recovered from those who use it.

Tanzanian government funded the initial phases for its electric SGR project ,can't say the same about Kenya being trapped in a massive Chinese debt with an air polluting slow diesel train. Turkey provided technology which was fully paid for and local labour utilized..recently we opted for a Chinese loan due to the costs associated with already having other self funded on going projects..Tanzania is equivalent to the size of Kenya, Uganda ,Rwanda Burundi all put together making it very costly to lay out such a railway system from one end of the country to another. We dictate the terms of the project that's why it's rare to see a Chinese foreign minister going into an African country just to sign a construction deal. Well two flyovers to be exact more coming, two major bus terminals in Dar & Dodoma, expansion of the new Dar Es salaam international airport and Mwanza, Built a brand new international airport in Dodoma..Construction of an electrical SGR train system, Phase 2 rapid bus network system (BRT)..Purchased a fleet of 9 brand new planes paid for no loans or partnerships giving the country 100 percent ownership of its airline, expecting more soon. Building the largest hydroelectric power plant in east Africa government funded..on going construction of a second bridge across the Indian ocean in Dar and a 3.2 Km long bridge across lake Victoria which will be the largest in east Africa and 6th in Africa. He was also responsible for the reduction of dependence on foreign aid, provision of free education, implementation of water projects in rural areas, improved existing and built new healthcare facilities across the country, been building new roads all over the country, increased budget for higher education loans..the control and protection of natural resources, including minerals citing the creation of new mineral laws and recent reforms in the extractive industry..he was also able to eradicate corruption on the government level down to private sector, can't say the same for your tribal & corrupt institutions. Laid down the foundation for the Tanzanian Uganda massive natural gas pipeline project..his leadership enabled Tanzania to acquire the status of a lower middle income country in the midst of a world pandemic.
