"Key players are ditching embattled Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao as her administration and legal team convulse following an FBI raid on her house last week.
Over the last two days, following a fiery speech she gave declaring her innocence, Thao lost her personal lawyer as well as the head of communications for her administration. A former chief of staff, who resigned in 2022, has called on the mayor to resign, noting that she quit because of a pay-to-play scandal involving Thao's administration.
"It says a lot when you have people of this caliber abandoning you," Bay Area public relations specialist Sam Singer said. "The city of Oakland is in full crisis mode and on the verge of collapse. The instability of Sheng Thao's administration and the inaction of the City Council is of deep concern."*

Just like any village leaders, one after the next, are any better. Once money is involved, there's always some type of corruption happening. Jerry Brown was Mayor and his corruption is unparalleled. Jerry had the whole city running an operation, the redevelopment department and the police department were federally indicted. His chief of staff was sued for catfishing and arsoning victims of crime who were secondary victims of police and and DA misconduct. Doxing, assault, arson plus plus more. There was also Don Perata who did not get elected but held various power jobs and ran for Mayor of Oakland while under active Federal Investigation. Behind all of this is a force that has been in play for a long time. The whole place is a crime scene she was probably doing something idk but what she was doing was on par or maybe not as horrible as what the entire political administrative division is doing. And yes, there is big money tied all over. The politicians are puppets. She must have said no when she should have said yes so they pulled her power cord.
