Movie was lowkey horrible, im pretty sure they half assed it, I saw the green screen backdrop in the shot with Cinderella and her daughter. And they did them so dirty with those wigs gurl. And the jam packed action and all that into the last 20 minutes???? Cmon?!?! They are frickin DISNEY, they have the budget to do better, like DUDE?!?!?! Btw, you seen the lion king broadway show where they put in a kid that had no talent for any acting or singing???, they basically just did that but gave the girls a little acting and some sucky random songs. But I can say the memorial to Cameron was really sweet.

well the original VK's story ended in the special, Descendants: A Royal Wedding. at the end, a voice over for Mal said something like "our story may be over, but I know one that's just starting" and panned over to red painted white roses and a rabbit hole (reference to Alice in Wonderland). so from that point on, it was known that any future movies wouldn't focus on Mal and her friends anymore, but new characters

I like this one, but I like the originals ones better the first three which like you said I hate the fourth ones for the next generation and they’ll probably make the other one and other ones in the future more for the next generation that’s why they have a new cast and all that stuff cause for another generation to enjoy, but I don’t think it was that bad Cause you know sometimes when they do remake some movies or they make another one or whatever sometimes it’s really bad. This one was not bad at all. It was actually pretty decently, but it’s because a lot of people like you can’t let go of the originals. I’m looking at a new perspective but again if I had, she was like somebody said, I choose between the original first three or this one I would choose the first three but I gave the other one a chance too and I still enjoy it. I still wash it. I think I washed it twice. I just finished watching it the second time you know since I’ve been out and this is the second time I watched it so yeah probably watch it again too just like I do with the other ones occasionally cause I don’t think it was too bad. That’s my opinionbut again is for the new generation too and a lot of people that did watch it watch the original ones too because if you think about it, this one is not called really cold. Just said it’s called descendants rise of red even though descendants four but still descendants of red.

As much as all of us old school DKs (Disney Kids) who are now probably DPs (Disney Parents) wiuld have loved to see the old cast that we grew to love... I guess it would be same as with any other movie that may have lost that one person that STOLE our hearts. We have to give the NEW generation a chance to rise and show their talents so we can fall in love with someone new. I feel that pain too that it wouldn't be the same without Cameron but its like that sad saying goes "The SHOW must go ON!!!" So bringing in new players to the game would give us something to look forward to. In my opinion. I hope we can embrace tgem the way we did the original.

Here’s the thing about decendants “4”; its story is fundamentally incompatible with the original trilogy. The very existence of Merlin academy (which by the way can not have been the same building as auradon prep as it’s explicitly stated that auradon prep is Beast’s old castle from his and Belle’s story) with all the Disney characters attending means their stories could not have happened in a way that would eventually lead to all the kingdoms uniting and the isle of the lost being created. Also, why is an entire group of students being labeled villain kids when it’s explicitly stated that this is happening before they committed the crimes that would lead to them being banished to the isle? It’s not only irreconcilably inconsistent with the original lore, but it’s also internally inconsistent.

I think the real reason why the original Descendants cast wasn’t supposed to return in Descendants 4: The Rise of Red is because of Cameron Boyce’s passing in 2019. It’s true that the new cast was actually very different. Kylie Cantrall was the fitting choice for Red. I was even lucky that China Anne McClain from A.N.T. Farm and Descendants 2 & 3 returned to play Uma. Even Ruby Rose Turner from Coop & Cami Ask the World made the choice to star in Descendants 4. I still love Kylie Cantrall because I’m a huge fan. Especially since I really enjoyed the movie. And if I ever get to watch all four Descendants movies, I’ll definitely have a fun time.

I like the new Descendants, but LOVE the old Descendants. When there was going to be a new Descendants I was SUPER excited and thought about what would happen. Even though CAMERON BOYCE isn’t here with us anymore, the old characters would still be in the NEW Descendants. I thought that MAL and BEN could have a kid together and their child would be HALF-human and HALF-dragon (or whatever Mal is half of). Mal and Ben’s CHILD would be so cute. We would see what their life’s and the school would be like now that all of the VK’S. I also thought that we would see Evie and Dug would be like with their LOVE life. Jay and Audrey’s love life and what would happen to CHAD, as he liked Audrey. I loved to see Uma in the NEW movie. What I don’t get about the new DESCENDANTS is that it has CINDERELLA’S child, Chloe, and THE QUEEN OF HEARTS daughter. It is very similar to Alice And Wonderland. Why could we have seen what the VK’S would’ve done with UMA in charge?

I've watched the Descendants movies, I am not a fan but thanks to my 9 year old niece I am slowly getting into it, at first I thought Descendants was ridiculous and awful, but as I started to explore the original saga, I started to understand and see this saga with a better point of you, and a more Psychological way, the original cast didn't returned and it's understandable, Cameron looked like a very likeable person, and Carlos was a very nice character, maybe the Director of all the Descendants movies kept making more movies will be a thing, to be honest the original cast didn't return cause they loved and respect Cameron Boyce, his dead affected everyone I understand that cause I lost a beloved younger sibling, I liked The Rise of Red even if people didn't liked it, considers it the worst of the saga, and that didn't make sense in the story, I still think it's good and interesting

The new movie looks so good (and no hate or anything) but everyone who has watched the first descendants movie will know that they mentioned that Chad is Prince Charming and Cinderella’s son so I don’t get why they would have a completely new character introduced with the same parents as one of the characters from descendants

I just watched the movie and in my opinion it could do wayyy better. Like I thought soo many plot twists for the plot but they just go for the most simple and easiest way to save Orendont (ik I spelled wrong) with no twists. Nothing compared to the other movies
